That’s a huge potential lot lol – any tips to help narrow it down – any personal brand preferences or dislikes? Any size needs for the boot (wheelchair, aids etc), any problems getting in and out of lower or higher vehicles?

Of course everyone piles in with what they own…so I’ll go first…lol

S-Max Titanium Lux Pack  – Has everything you asked for without paying for extras, but it is £2895 AP.

the powered boot could be an issue, do you need it to close using the key fob that could be an issue as others have found on certain models or do you just need it to open by waving your foot under it like some do.

i had a citroen c4 grand piccasso it opened on the fob but you had to press a button on the tailgate for it to close which maybe an issue for some with difficulty reaching as the tailgate when open was quite high up.

The X1 as a powered boot, you can open and close with the keyfob it also as a open and close button on the drivers door and of course a button on the tail gate

I thought most cars had at least two ways to open /close powered tail gates.

Thanks for your replies, I think the Smax is lovely but too big for us. Narrowed down to the X1 and the XC40 but seem to prefer the B Class with the premium plus pack, going to see one Monday to drive.

I looked at the XC40 and X1 too but decided on a B Class B200 with premium plus pack after the test drive. It may not be to everyone’s taste but we were really impressed with how quiet and refined it was. The Premium Plus pack gives you everything you could ask for as far as comfort is concerned.

Test drive completed, what a lovely car to drive (Mercedes B Class).

So impressed , order placed B200 Premium Plus in black with an excellent £600 off of the AP.

Glad you liked it Ian M …..we ordered it in black too!

Sadly wasn’t near a dealer willing to offer such a discount….well done!

We have a build slot confirmed and are expecting delivery around the first week in April.

I’m ordering an MG HS auto in exclusive trim this week – amazing spec for the AP

                          imho

its a personal choice and I’ve done my research & several test drives.

it may not be a premium brand nowadays but the new HS has a premium feel
