So, went and had a second look at the Mazda CX5 this morning, bit short of headroom with the sunroof and seats not great.  I then had an appointment with the lovely Lisa at Bristol Street Ford.

Much more helpful than the young lad I saw a couple of weeks ago.

Found me a Kuge without a sunroof to try out, getting in/out slightly better than the current Ateca.  No problems with my legs or knees banging off things when sitting and good headroom.

Had a chat about ordering now or waiting until enfd of June to get a better chance of getting the new facelift version.  She said the ordering system is closed for the next 2 weeks while they change over so she’s marked the order as “MY23.75 Only” and will wait 3-4 weeks before submitting it to Ford.  It’s showing on the Motability system now.

I went for the Kuga Vignale FHEV in Lucid Red (extra £250), so with the £750 off and £20 for fuel I’ll owe them £2,215.  She’s sure that when the MY23.75 comes onto the scheme in july or October the same car will be well over £3,000.

I looked at the Chrome Blue next to it and there just wasn’t a choice!.  No idea on build time but not expecting it until around August onwards.

Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!

Just got a copy of the paperwork from the dealer, says estimated delivery date July 31st.

I have my doubts, being the new MY23.75 version it’s more likely to be September to December at the earliest.

Just been into the Ford dealers, the mobility salesman informed us the new facelift has now been cancelled by Ford until sometime in 2024 ?

He also quoted us £850 for the factory fitted towbar, Ford site clearly states £600 ?

Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally say the wrong thing.
