Greetings all,

I’ve been a Motability customer for over 5 years, but have only just discovered the app “Motability Assist”, so I thought I’d share it with others here.

It can be found on the App Store or the Google Play Store

When it’s downloaded you have to add your CRN (Motability Account Number) and your mobile phone number, and grant permission to your location.

Then, in the event of breakdown open the app, touch the RESCUE ME button, and a text message with your exact location will be sent on your behalf.  This is particularly helpful if you don’t know exactly where you are or if you have difficulty communicating that information.  The recovery team will call you back right away.

My apologies if this is common knowledge to everyone or has been posted before (feel free to delete my post if this is the case).

Just had a look, isn’t this just for scooters?

I am so sorry JoJoe (and everyone else). I just double checked and it seems you’re right. I assumed the wrong thing. The app icon is a breakdown truck and nowhere on the app itself does it say not for cars.
I’ll try to edit the post for scooters only.
