Unsurprisingly the Megan E Techs 2 month AP reduction window is now over
Glad to say it saved me £700 by being able to order 3 months prior to end of lease
The present AP of £1995 IMO is still realistic when you compare and take into consideration the whole package
Cant remember but I think it was £500 more in Q1? and double todays AP when it first hit the scheme
Please correct me if not
G

I’ve saw good road tests on the MG 4 too will look at that another day
Was that by Panetauto 800 mile road trip on youtube Mike. They review alot of cars from a mobility perspective, don’t think they have done one in the Meganeyet though.

Have look a Planetauto’s reviews and roadtrips on alot of the cars they test, which average 800 miles over 2 or 3 Video’s, plus they do overview video’s showing access, headroom space etc
Heres the first MG4 roadtrip video, will keep you entertained one afternoon 🙂

BertyI discounted Planetauto’s reviews as garbage.
They did a review on the MG4 taking it to Scotland, but they were both driving around wearing big heavy jackets and a hat.
You cannot give an unbiased view on an EV doing that.
Didnt the police issue a warning last winter about driving a car wearing a large bulky jackets is unlawful??? They do not like it anyway.
July 8, 2023 at 3:48 pm #225781Do you mean a Berghaus down coat I wear one in winter going to local football and a cap can’t I wear a thick coat in an electric car ?

Jamesi choose whatever colour would come fastest which was a black with grey roof ordered 08/05 and it arrived 20/05 just been stuck waiting for a update but will soon be here cant wait after a 18 month wait for an id3 tour

I can imagine that being me when I have an EV if not wearing full thermals to! Given I suffer terrible Raynauds, and feel the slightes’t bit of cold, since my illness.
July 8, 2023 at 7:21 pm #225820Kezo can you please confirm but it looks to me that the megane techno and the MG4 don’t have electric folding mirrors when you lock the car ?!

On the Trophy spec “Electrically adjustable power folding heated black door mirrors” SE doesn’t mention auto folding!
https://www.carwow.co.uk/mg/mg-4/specifications
Megane not sure at mo, Maybe someone who has one can say! (older ones were operated from a knob to fold)
July 18, 2023 at 3:38 pm #227158Well great news my iconic Megan E Tec is in the country
Should get to dealers anytime within the next 3 weeks
Handover 5 weeks from now (fingers crossed)
If so thats only 17 weeks total wait
All good as factory ordered 3 months before end of 3yr lease and before the £700 AP increase this quarter
I contacted my dealer a week ago and mentioned the batch of 42 ceramic grey/black roof were on its way over ( heard about it on the grapevine) and if poss could they grab one for me.
Pics will follow as will my honest user reviews

July 18, 2023 at 5:29 pm #227172Yes Kezo too low for me but looks amazing

After 3yrs of crouching down to get into the v low corsa F it will be a joy to have the extra 100mm headroom and being able to stop on the line at the traffic lights rather than having to pull up 8ft short just to be able to see when they changed lol ps Megan seat pumps up/down v high/low to suit

you will love it, make sure they do the alarm fix before delivery or you will have not happy neighbours!… my first advice is to download vivaldi browser from the play store, it will allow you to browse and watch you tube when stationary as well as login to prime and disney plus and watch those. abrp is able to install, so is waze direct to the car. just dont forget to set up your phone as a hot spot for the car to connect to, the 3gb of data wont last long using those services.
July 21, 2023 at 10:04 am #227430Burger man has the techno got electric folding mirrors when you lock the car ? I’ve been on Renault website built the car etc and been on equipment list but I cannot find the listed ?
July 24, 2023 at 1:35 pm #227820
SteveMenorca Mike I got a test drive at an evans halshaw dealership I was allowed to go out on my own and they let me take one they had in stock at another dealership only had to wait 2 days it’s worth ringing around the dealership’s to see if they have any in stock there willing to let you take plus they gave me a good deal only had to pay £195 after motability contribution and to top it all never been as pleased with a motability car I find it really comfortable and smooth and that’s with a really bad back
July 24, 2023 at 2:02 pm #227824Not got my car just yet
My iconic has electric folding mirrors when you lock the car not sure about other models tho
Just to add I see with the right browser app installed ( vivaldi ) you are able to watch disney + /Netflix and so on the infotainment screen
also
Best to make sure the car has had its alarm issues addressed prior to handover imo
July 24, 2023 at 3:02 pm #227829July 24, 2023 at 3:07 pm #227830Thats the best thing about Motability, anything wrong they dealership fixes it.
Always a gamble with a new model arriving, they do have teething problems.
But with EV’s they can fix most issues with an over the air update.
You are gonna have a big smile across your face when you get your car dude.
I loved the Megane test drive, but the seating was a bit low for me. Otherwise it would have been my
choice. It is a gorgeous motor.
But you will be grinning and laughing when the motor arrives.
July 24, 2023 at 3:40 pm #227833Cant wait Berty
Although I dont/cant drive to much of late
Leave that to my lovely wife
Just heard the home easee charger is being installed on the 2nd Aug a few weeks before the cars handover
Seems all my yrs of pushing and shoving things along has paid off
Took a year of @s just to get my driveway facility grant approved ( A Miracle as achieved during covid ) and another 6 months more to get it installed which in turn has now allowed me to have an electric car with home charging.
I would not have considered going electric if I didnt have home charging.
I expect to home charge about 98% of the time as the car will only travel about 12 miles a day on average
Between shops lol
Expecting the Megan to thrive on city driving
Unlike my little 1.2 turbo petrol
