Unsurprisingly the Megan E Techs 2 month AP reduction window is now over
Glad to say it saved me £700 by being able to order 3 months prior to end of lease
The present AP of £1995 IMO is still realistic when you compare and take into consideration the whole package
Cant remember but I think it was £500 more in Q1? and double todays AP when it first hit the scheme

Talking of Renault, nice to see the new 1.6 E-TECH full hybrid 145 Esprit Alpine Clio come onto the scheme with orders now being taken. Even better, it has a reasonable AP of £895 for Motability customers.
Well the new 1.6 E-TECH full hybrid 145 Esprit Alpine Clio (above) lasted all of 3-days on the scheme.

Things like this are utterly ridiculous, Motability really need to sort themselves out.
I noticed that the DS4 was back on the scheme for Q3.
Slight problem – it’s only the Trocodero and Trocodero Cross models.
DS don’t sell these trim levels any more, so no surprises if it disappears soon.

I noticed this too – I contacted DS who informed me the Trocadero trim is no longer available so I don’t understand why Motability would list this as an available model ??♂️
They’ve informed my local DS Motability specialist who will contact me with the relevant information – not holding my breath tbh – will wait & see what they come back with.

Yes they will Mike. I just phoned the number on the motability megane page, it puts you through to head office and they arrange a test drive there and then.
The local dealer will then contact you to affirm your details.
For an unattended drive you need your driving licence and letter of award.
@mike11 my local Renault dealer just took a copy of my license then gave me the key and said, bring it back when your sure…45 minutes we had the car out.

I got the Renault Zoe and asked for a test drive, he just handed me the key, told me it was fully charged and he’d see me when he saw me. Take as long as you need were his words. I was very impressed.
Many thanks I’d like a test drive when it’s nice weather ie next month as when I order November December for March pick up it’s cold and frosty
I’m going to see the new Megane etec at my local Renault dealer it looks fantastic on the road tests I’ve watched on YouTube ! Don’t like the deep boot or the gear lever on same side as wipers etc on the steering wheel but the looks have won me over ! Will have a test drive nearer November when have to order new car
I’ve just had my drive in the Megane, and it wa sa lot better than expected. Firsts time driving an EV and it was very good. Easy to get used to one pedal driving, no lag like ICE at all, they just go…that is unusual.
Very quick car. ingess\egress is surprisingly good. I use side mirris and never the rear view mirror so didnt notice how small it is. It’s handling is very sharp and very good over speed bumps.
I couldnt fault it. Yes you are not sitting as high as my 2008, but I would get used to that very quickly.
My Pug 2008 is 3 only years old, and the Etech Megane is light years ahead of it.
That’s great Berty what colour was it ? I’m sure the techno has a reversing camera ? I’m used to that on my Toyota Chr

Ask them to show you the reversing camera it has lots of different viewing angles also make sure the seat is set low enough before getting in
The seat height adjusment is quite good as is the digital rear view mirror
Remember zero extra for colour/2 tone choice
Maybe you could ask about present delivery times on factory orders and update the rest of us
