After 12 months do supplying dealers contact customers to book first service or does the customer have to contact them..?

Depending on the car it might not need a service after 12 months, for me the car and the dealer told me when the service was due.
I’ve always let the dealership contact me.

Renault AustralMost come with an App, that reminds you when the first sevice is due.
Indeed there was NO car manual at all on my vehicle, just a link to download a pdf…I found that a bit odd.
Luckily, it is free servicing, so I go with that. Indeed, I had a lower wishbone replaced as it was showing play during the 2 year service. It is worthwhile taking the car back to the dealers to get serviced.
