I’ve been told that as of tomorrow I can order my new car.

However, due to the ever decreasing list on the scheme I’ve decided to extend my lease. I currently have a Toyota CHR which I really like. I was looking at the new Nissan Qashqai but was told by the garage I’d be looking at a 6 month wait!
So after contacting A very nice lady at Motability today, I’m extending my lease. It was so straightforward and the first time I’ve ever extended my lease on any of my cars.

Has anyone else done this with their current lease?

      cheers

      David

        Hi,

Depends on milage covered and you only need to contact Motability and tell them you wish to extend the period.

It usually allows you to extend from 3 to 5years but you can during that time change your mind but you will only be looking at getting 3 years good condition back.

I have done this no problem, cheers Michael

My current lease is up on 28th August, I ordered a Kia Niro 27th May. Motability accepted the order and automatically extended my current vehicle for 6 months. I’m assuming in case of any delay. Dealer has informed me new car expected to them August 17th, but could be up to a week late. So looking good for changeover day. I assume Motability are automatically extending leases for every new order.
