Hey all,

Just a quick post to ask if anyone has noticed dealers taking photos of cars after the service? This is my 3rd(soon to be 4th) car on the scheme and I have never noticed this, except when you are handing it back at the end of the lease.

On another note, jeez getting a replacement at the worst time is stress! If my Kuga wasn’t so thirsty I’d kept it.

My Skoda dealer sends a video with a short explanation of the work carried out as part of the service.

I too get a Vid Jaro, usually the underneath, explaining tyre depth and brake wear…

Hopefully motability get more info from it than me, as I find it pointless, seems more like here’s the car on the ramps and here’s the bill..

On one occasion about 6 years ago when we had our motability car serviced handing it back to us was delayed by motability requesting photos of the underside of the car be sent to them.

When I had the Skoda Superb they also sent a video of tyre wear when it was on the ramps.

I get the dealer service vids of them inspecting the brakes etc from Ford. But this time the lady on the desk came out(when I got the keys back) and started taking photos of the car, to send to Motability apparently. Always returned the cars in tiptop condition not a scratch on it. First time I had them follow me out to the car to take photos.

It was just unusual and not had it before, so thought I would ask if anyone else had anything.

they take pictures  of the car every time the cars goes into the dealers for years  l found this out about 18/20 years ago and sent them to motability
