There is a lot of knowledge amongst us, I exclude myself.

The COVID 19 is dominating the news:

    How worried should we be?

Will this be Spanish flu proportions or just another contained outbreak as SARS and MERS were?

Oh – and when will we start to see ‘Just in time’ manufacturing suffer?

85 year old neighbour next door had her Covid19 vaccine, yesterday when we were out on the front gardening she walked across to the wife with no mask or protection and put her hand on the wife’s back to get her attention, obviously the wife was a bit horrified the neighbour could still be a carrier especially after mixing at the vaccine centre.

To cut a story short we were try to be polite but she kept following us around, for some reason now she has had the vaccine a couple of days ago she is now 100% Cured and Immune and life is back to normal?

Nothing changes oscarmax until the vast majority of our people are vaccinated. I would not have had your self restraint I’m afraid I would have been quite blunt with her.

We should all be acting as if we have the virus and don’t want anyone to catch it off us.

We are in a critical 3/4 months, after which those most at risk will have a level of protection so let’s not blow it, please stay safe.

Brydo I did  managed to get her away very quickly, I don’t know if is just me but in our area the oldies tend to be the worst offenders, no masks, no social distancing etc as if the Covid19 does not exist, no wonder we are one of the worst rated areas in the UK.

PS we have P3 medical face masks, clear medical face visors and medical grade hand sanitizer, and have stuck to the rules.

Wigwam didn’t think I attacked him just provided some context to judge his comments by. Just looked at the latest infection rates in UK and it looks as if the effects of the lockdown are kicking in.

I’m sure we are all relieved at that trend although it will still take some time to show on hospital admissions etc.

That’s great oscarmax, I must admit the older folk around here are pretty good, its the teenagers that are the worst offenders.

She is a bit lonely lost her husband to dementia a few years ago, daughter rarely visits and she has taken to the wife, aloneness is a terrible thing made so much worse with this virus, we will have to be a bit more careful with her.

DAF, the article I copied here was clearly stated as an opinion piece.  I put it there to be read  and considered by anyone who can be bothered.

    You said:

“Is this the same person who was chief whip of the Brexit party in the European parliament and went mental in December 2019 shouting “freedom” and going on to make a pretty deranged speech? He is also a climate change denier and thinks that Socialism is far more likely to lead to extinction than climate change. Where do you dig these people up from?”

Did you make those comments in the hope that anyone who read the article would be persuaded his opinion was in some way invalid?  Do you not respect people’s ability to decide for themselves?  Or were you actually objecting to what he said yourself, which you could have done without your attempt to discredit the writer?

And where did I, as you so pejoratively put it, “dig these people up from?”. It was clear in the link that it was in The Scotsman, which I understand is a national newspaper north of the border.

I just can’t understand why you back up your views with people who are neither experts in their field or impartial. If you truly believe that lockdowns don’t work then back it up with the opinions of experts in the field rather than random characters who just happen to agree with you.

As far as discrediting the writer is concerned he’s made a far better job of doing that himself than I ever could. All I did was highlight some of the things he has said in the past.

With respect I would expect you to be every bit as clinical in checking the validity of what I post as well, as I’m sure you are. Look forward to your future input to the debate.

Daf, do you have a view?  Maybe there could be a debate if you offered one, instead of denegrating others.

    YES. I object.

I object as you have posted only the first and third slide. The second one is fairly important.

I hadn’t seen the second slide, wmc. What I posted is what Bournemouth council has put out.

Even with the second pic it’s still nonsense to say that people will die because I go out..

It will do nothing to help people with anxiety issues or deter people who flout the rules.

The covid debate will continue and as always there is a mountain of information and some is contradictory and people will choose what to believe similarly as they do at elections. As there are only two certainties in life then it is reasonable to expect a range of opinions. I am expecting a return to something inbetween what we have now and what we refer to as normal life. I do think it’s going to be a while yet before we get back to life pre covid. It is interesting to read about the Australian tennis open and the possible ramifications for other large sporting events this year. I see the BICC at Bournemouth is a vaccine hub and will offer those who go a brief glimpse of the sea. It does appear that people are becoming increasingly weary of the rules and it is important that messages from governments are as clear and simple as possible.

FWIIW the beach car parks to the east of Christchurch were full at the weekend with little respect for social distancing or mask wearing. A group of a dozen middle aged gents had parked their super bikes and were behaving as if there was no COVID. A repeat of last summers invasion this Easter?

Just like they say speed kills. How come autobahns do not have higher rates than everywhere else’s motorways or freeways.

What are the factors of road accidents?
The top five most common causes of UK road accidents
    Failure to look properly.
Failing to judge another person’s path and/or speed.
Being careless, reckless or in a hurry.
    Losing control.
Drink driving. Drink driving is one of the most highly publicised causes of road accidents.

Plus also you could add smart motorways to that list as a judge just recently said..

As for oscarmax i get your point i do but if it’s so bad why are these old at risk people not all dead and it seems masks have not helped one bit to stop the spread as rates have risen since mask wearing was introduced..

Infact this wave is worse than the 1st, or so we led to believe infact a bbc headline a few days ago was 2020 was worst excess deaths since ww2, but it appears if you calculate population etc etc then it’s only since 2008.

So there been worse years prior to 2020 but not for 12 years.. A mp brought it up in parlement and how misleading it was, pure propaganda to justify the closing of the economy once again..

When april comes and we enter the new tax year, we will see the failout big time.. All the efforts to be covid secure did not make any difference to the actions and the course we’ve all been put into.

Regardless of my own views it seems some do not care one bit ans some care way to much, it’s only a small price to pay? so is losing your freedom to travel without a permit or permission out of your zone and not into another one and it’s now not a conspiracy it’s a fact, siad this would happen months and  months ago.

It’s amazing how quickly conspiracies are becoming reality and how quick we are being conditioned to the new normal, but Scientific Pandemic Insights Group on Behaviours is part of sage so it’s also no real surprise.

The vaccine (which ain’t really a vaccine imo) don’t stop you getting it or passing it on, so what is the point of it.. thats because it’s a code not a real virus( vaccine as we know them) and they can create them all in labs to prove their worst fears and accidents / leaks can happen, it’s a moral issue in science, should you be creating these killer strains to prove a point and/or testing on them just to see.. which is going on. Fact.

Funny because before we went into the 1st lockdown last march, that boris was against and was pushing herd immunity, they was paying some newyork PR company to come up with the propaganda to stay home and protect the nhs. plus they said they not going to have a vaccine passport but 2 companies have been working on an app since the summer funded by the goverment. That uses face tech to verify the person and will be linked to your dna and ai will decide on your fate. Pretty much like the chinese social credits system.

No vaccine no work, no benefit, No healthcare No school etc etc.. and no renting a house..

The great reset is being rolled out across the west as imo we need to come down to the level of the rest of the world.. it’s clear not eveyone can come up to higher standards, so we must  all go down to lower standards and maybe that will be the end of the Mb scheme and benefits as we know them..

As those is poorer countrries don’t have such schemes. After all they funded by taxes and what income in taxes has there been during this pandemic and the goverments just borrow more fiat from the central banks, there is talk of merging central banks and it’s no surprise to me if it happens..

Any system only lasts so long and we well overdue a reset..

Indeed it also seems so so many are now so scared of social interaction, as you will catch something or pass on something that may kill someone..which is a pretty sad world and i don’t think that will ever change now. As the flu can kill, this can kill, that can kill..

If that is the case we should not all drive as you may have an accident and kill someone once you set off or someone may crash into you and kill you, so no one should drive… That is one of the reasons they will use for not allowing us humans to drive any more.

They will also say we have learnt so much from this all.. plus it’s helped the planet also..

But some geologist say another ice age may happen soon and one thing that happens before an iceage ice caps melt and co2 levels rise. One thing i do know is that the planet has a history of climate change even before man was active.. Sohow does that work out and like with all this covid science it is still yet to be proven or disproven as studies take time and we have to look at the big picture over a period of time not just a small slice of the now.. No one knows exactly what the future holds.. I really hope i am wrong but thus far i have not been far of what has happened.
