      Hi all,

I’ve discovered an issue with unlocking my Cupra born in freezing/cold temperatures in that it takes some time to work and i know it’s not the fob as I tried both so I now pour some Luke warm water over the drivers door handle where the key would go if needed to do manually and after a minute or two tends to work. The situation was worse as i was leaving from dialysis and had a short window between finishing treatment and getting up for work!

Arnold Clark have booked it in for February however it was milder recently and there was no issues?

      Anybody else experienced this?

Never been an issue on any car I’ve had,  EV or otherwise. Temps here in Northeast Scotland frequently pretty low, lowest this year -9 so far, unlocked no problem.

In life, it's not who you know that's important, it's how your wife found out.

When I’ve forgotten to preheat it’s not been a problem. Although the unlock by touching the door handle sometimes doesn’t work, the fob always does unlock the car.

Sounds like you may have found a new feature?! Roll on summertime.
