Car lease start

Hi, Sorry this a few questions.  when does the actual lease start ? We have only had 1 car before and ordered our 2nd ever mobility car in sept (3 months before) as our 1st lease ended in Dec and due to the backlog with new cars the car has just arrived in the UK (Feb) but it hasn’t got the options that we requested/ordered (Adaptive Cruise Control) so could possibly be in for another 5 month wait, The dealer tried smooth talk my wife over the phone to accept the car without success so I am now waiting to talk to the dealer to say no as we do a lot of motorway driving, Does the dealer have to honour our original order as (that option isn’t available anymore) ? and does the new lease start when we receive the new car ?

      Thanks

      JIM

      Sorry new to all this

The new lease starts on the day you input your PIN and you don’t have to accept it as is but if the option isn’t available anymore you may have to look at alternatives unless the factory can supply exactly what you ordered.

        Cheers

I’d definitely not be accepting a car without adaptive cruise control, You have done the right thing.

I could not have a car now without it, It’s one of my non negotiables my last 4 cars have had it and when I drive a car without it, even with normal cruise it’s worse for my condition. The car I got, just joining the scheme, it can as standard.

Maybe one way to guarantee it does, is to order a car/trim level that it comes as standard and not an extra.

          This stuff shouldn’t happen though.

If you have to choose a different car remember you can phone around dealers near you to see if they have any in stock, that way you won’t have to wait long.

              Thanks Everyone,

Spoke to the dealer yesterday and they apologised and are going to reorder it, Have to wait again but it is what it is.

              Thanks again
