Cancellation timelines

      Me again I’m afraid.

      If you cancel an order before delivery, how long does the cancellation process take? I.E how long before you could put another order through for a different car?

        You can order another car as soon as the original dealer goes on to the Motability system and removes the car (it’s not the actual order, it’s just an admin thing). This takes no more than a couple of minutes, but some dealers drag their heels. If they play silly buggers and don’t do this you can call Motability and they can do it their end.

            Do you have to cancel the order in person or can you do it over the phone?

              You can do it by phone or if you have the reps email, it’s in writing and you can follow with courtesy call, but it shouldn’t matter which way you choose to do, as long as the dealer actions your request promptly.

                No excuse for them not to do it as soon as you phone and it taking less than 2 minutes. My order kept getting delayed but luckily found the exact same car on a cancelled order so needed to cancel mine. Thankfully, there was no sales crap I had to put up with and instead was instantly cancelled.
