ShellieI have never been put in this situation before can you cancel car if it’s not started production and order same car different dealership I have checked with bmw genius and this is 3rd time they ordered wrong car this time a one you can’t even get on motorbility!!! I’m seriously p@@@@d off now I’m not meant to get this car

ApplemanYou can cancel at any time up to putting in your pin on collection,ask the salesperson to cancel online,make sure they cancel your application for a car on motability website,so that another dealer can gain access to new car order application, as it will be blocked until current application is removed,if the dealer does not cancel ring motability and it will get sorted

ApplemanSuggest you make an online account with motability so you can see what is going on at all times,motability home page top of page my account and follow instructions,if the car is not one on motability then it may never have been done,in your account you can go to new application and this will tell you everything

ShellieHi I have an account all the paperwork on motorbility is the car I ordered but every time I check order number given it’s wrong model first it was a S line but I ordered X line that was changed then next number got cancelled this one only came to me last week yet bmw say it was ordered 21st may it’s an M sport I am waiting for dealership to get back to me from 9am this morning I’m gonna ring again shortly

ApplemanTell them motability car,they wont purchase a car not on scheme,so they cannot bill them , as they will not get paid they will have to sort it and quick, best to talk to motability they can make dealers jump better than us

Blimey Shellie. I’m getting giddy with all your cancellations! I would be wary of instantly cancelling again as you go straight to the back of the queue once more. Manufacturer orders can usually be altered up until a few weeks before they are built (when they get ‘locked down’) and that can include the model as well as options etc. As others have said, the Motability system won’t let a car that is not on the scheme be accepted, so an X1 M-Sport will flag up as not on the scheme. BMW don’t do S Lines, that’s Audi, so there would have been no need to cancel that order, it must have just been an admin error. My X1 xLine order was transferred over to a cancelled M-Sport order slot, so this sort of thing may be where some of the confusion lies? What shows on the Motability website isn’t the actual order, it’s just an admin note. What matters is what the dealer shows you. My BMW dealer has emailed me screen shots from their order system so I can see my order number, model, options, spec etc. This also shows order status, estimated delivery date etc. Suggest you ask the dealer to email you screenshots of the same. I struggle to believe that a dealer can be so incompetent to get the order wrong multiple times, so I strongly suspect that there is just some confusion somewhere along the line.

ShellieI haven’t cancelled any it’s all been bmw first they ordered s-line all my paperwork was x-line! Then I got a ghost number that they give when no slots available which they again cancelled got third order number to be told by bmw that order was x-drive m sport on motorbility which you cannot get bmw admitted fault and corrected it giving me same order number and slot if I had to get a 4th order and different slot I was gonna cancel never had as much hassle when order new car had motorbility cars almost 17 years

ShellieSorry s drive this is my predictive text was told by bmw U.K. that they were at fault for last one yesterday and it was a good job I asked and contacted dealership the first one was the person putting orders through didn’t 100% check order looked at the Ap but didn’t see I got a discount my dealership has had a few bad reviews with a few saying this but they are my closet bmw dealership
