Has any i4 owners purchased this option @ £750 via connected store.
If so have you found it worth the money?

<p style=”text-align: left;”>I was toying with the idea of getting this, but I have 2 concerns – Is it any good as I’ve had cars with good acc and cars with really bad acc and my other worry is will it reduce efficiency on motorway driving?</p>
March 29, 2024 at 7:16 am #270311I’ve had to eliminate the i4 as it wasn’t suitable for us, but the iX1 also has the facility to add options during ownership. I presume that £750 is for the life of the vehicle?
@Matt Like you I’ve driven cars with poor ACC systems (our last VW Tiguan had it and it drove me nuts). Whilst I’ve not driven a BMW with it, almost every driver aid system works far better on our current BMW than the comparable VW systems, so I’m sure that their ACC system will be one of the best out there.Just a thought – with these add on features, do they have an option to ‘rent’ them monthly? As long as there’s not a long minimum period, could an idea be to rent it for a month and see how you get on with it? That might not be possible but worth a look.

They do have an option for subscription based monthly or yearly but virtually nothing in terms of driver aids on I4 must say am slightly disappointed in that.
Have 3 options off top of my head
Acc £750 lifetime
Auto dip headlights £200
Speed camera alert £25 Per year.
Bit naff other than acc option.

Agreed, no option to rent.
There was an option to spend £55 for a month’s trial of ACC, which I might have considered for a touring holiday etc, but that disappeared a few months ago. I’m not going to bother for £750.
Auto high beam/dip, had it on both previous cars, got tired of dazzling on coming traffic, not fast enough to act
Speed camera alert, had it in the Volvo, quite useful but I wouldn’t pay extra for it.

March 30, 2024 at 2:34 pm #270429You do know that the speed camera vans also use Waze, and as soon as the alert comes up on their phones they just hit not there.

I do about 20k miles per year using waze and have never come across 1 unmarked on waze passed 3 alone today all marked.

I wouldn’t think one ‘Not there’ report would get it removed.

correct, and it’s also down to reputation. Very clever stuff (though I’m sure they do it)
