January 6, 2023 at 5:54 pm #205090Thats better @Jojoe as much as I like the other shot, I do like a bit of colour, however I will be checking you haven’t pinched the bee of my pic ??
I don’t think there’s a bad camera on any of the later phones especially flagships, with more and more phones gaining optical rather than digital zoom and better stablilization. I think your 11 pro has 10x optical zoom and the mid range Huawei you stle my bee from ? only has 4x.
Apart from the factonly Android works for work purposes, I’d still sit on the android side of the fence if I’m honest. In my own view there is more competion vying for the crown in midrange and flagship phones, not only does this bring the price down, but are seeing better and better features faster. 67w 15w wireless charging speeds with longer lasting batteries, Night mode, Oled screens with 90/120 hz refresh rates, near frameless screens notchless displays (i hated the notch) etc even in the midrange sector for sometime now never mind flagships. I believe your phoned gained night mode and a oled panel from Iphone X and up on some models like yours. I think it was the 13pro that gained a 120 hz panel, so youl have to wait till you upgrade but after using one you won’t look back.
I also like the fact there are also many differen’t v good midrange phones I can work with, rather than bricking my top end phone.
Never the less we are all different, there is no right or wrong way and it certainly be a boring world if we were all the same 🙂
p.s looks nice place where you showed your first pic 🙂

Ive had iPhones since the 3Gs. I find them bullet proof, I’ve dropped my 11Pro on concrete and it bounced, no marks or scuffs. I like the fact all apps are sandboxed before general release. I think security is better on Apple.
The boat image was Dungeness in Kent, lovely shale beach with loads of abandoned decaying boats with old rotting fishing gear and enormous nuclear power station just out of sight ?.

Most phones are “bullet proof” and have some form of corning gorrila glass these days, with flagships getting a higher spec so they all bounce to some degree just some further than others, Unusual apple dont spec the version of conrning gorilla glass, where as android do, probably for a selling point. The latest version is called Victus that came out mid 2020, so flagships late 2020 on will have that. With your being a flagship from 2019 it will have corning gorrila glass 6. Midrange android is always a grade below its flagships 99% of the time. Worth a read if your board one day. Apple use to have far fewer apps more of a closed platform, similar to what Huawei is now since it’s spat with the US which saw it lose access to google. I believe apple is allowing some 3rd party android app these days, but its still not a mindfield of apps like googles play store. Security is much of muchness these days especially with decent midrange & flagships.
Anyhow on to something more interesting now the threads finished. Have you ever been to Lowestoft, its much like as you describe with some decaying boats and the decaying wooden infrastructure is just about still there, where the fishermen of bygone days use to repair their nets along with some pebbly beaches. y mums and her family came from there and we would visit every year to see realtives, many now sadly passed. I still like to go back every couple of years or so 🙂

Mike11Yes my nieces husband will set it up for me she had the battery and screen done at Apple store highcross Leicester 5 miles away the reason I mentioned the house prices was because she wouldn’t go to back street phone shop or market

That good your nieces husband will set it up for you, kind of takes the pressure/worry off you a bit.
Has your niece got a price off her friend yet, along with the timescale you will get it ?
Whats important really is your getting it off no doubt a good friend of your nieces 🙂
I understand why you mentioned house prices, but admitedly it made me chuckle – My younger brother is rich and I mean rich, but he’s tight arsed as the day is long, more often than not he will get on phone and kezo can you fix me this or that if I post it down to you, or when are you next coming up to visit mum and and can you pop round my cctv or tele isn’t working. I often say why dont you get someone in to do it, he say I’d rather wait until you come up!!
I’m not at retirement age quite yet, but neither am I a springchicken anymore, plus health issues aren’t getting any better. He’s my brother though even if all I do is watch and tell him what to do and there’s allways plenty of beer there 🙂

Nearest I’ve been to Lowestoft is Sheringham in Norfolk, it was nice, lots of long promenades. It’s ideal for Mrs Joe on her scooter. We usually only go to Cornwall these days, only reason we went to Dungeness was I saw Vic Reeves do a walk along the coast there last year, it looked great (and was) if you go on iPlayer look for walking with Jim Muir (his real name).

Nice one ajn. Its amazing how folk throw things away for the slightest problem. Shall you keep or sell?
Sorry guys, but gotta say Ive just being talking to Rene on the Enyak thread on how android automotives is becoming the goto operating system and platform running directly on in vehicle hardware/head units etc and how slick and responsive he though it was , when he loked at it in the Megane. Totaly different than auto or carplay ?

ajnIt’s keeper for now kezo as it’s easy to hold compared to the larger iPad, quick clean of the charging port, home button too, good long charge, quick run though on 3uTools(free download) working great..
Tbh I haven’t a clue what’s on my xc40, don’t know how to use it anyway, just use Spotify as I’ve got it on my phone so familiar with that, as for the rest of the stuff, don’t use or understand it..?

I was just saying to Rene I don’t have a tablet or than the one stuck in wall acting as a main contol centre for heating blins etc as it it shows everying in a snapshot, but everday life we use phones to switch things. I prefer to sit there with my laptop, so never bothered with a tablet.
Getting back to the point you dropped on lucky with it 🙂

Is that your cat Pops
January 9, 2023 at 3:34 am #205313It would be odd if he’d call someone else’s cat his little darling. I’m assuming we can agree on the fact that the “cat” part is inarguable. 😛

Oh I see it now????
January 9, 2023 at 9:01 am #205325January 9, 2023 at 10:30 am #205337@Mike11 the iphone 11 adopted google pixel 3’s night sight and called it night mode. Therefore low light photos will be far superior to your current 8 plus.
Showing agaisn’t 11 pro but, will be similar low light shot

Pixel 3 when they introduced night sight agains’t Xs

Not the best quality shots but, it gives you an idea of improved low light shots you will get with the 11.
