I have to agree with @Abercol over the ORA reviews, noth by journo’s and owners so certainly worth looking on forums and reviews. Depending on age and whether they are new to driving, a new car isn’t always the best course, if they have recently passed their test and a used car may be the best, one thats perhaps under 5 years old and not a C1 regardless of age. I’m also a great believer, a new driver should learn to drive a car without relying on driving aids and the bing bongs that go with them, can be distracting.
Has it got to be an EV or are they best racking up no claims in a petrol / hybrid and thus saving their money to enjoy themselves or put away to a new car in the future. If you think they need an EV, why not look at a used european one, say around 3yrs old. Not only are they giving them away, but you could help towards the insurance lol
Most cars today up to 10 years old are reliable, but I understand why you would want something newer.
