@Phaedra – Don’t forget you’ve spent £2000 plus on something that doesn’t work like it should. Skoda want you to think: “I can live with it for 3 years I guess”. Point is that your money is now sitting in their pocket, for no end result. May be dramatic but it’s a kind of theft. You suffer, not them.
I’d keep pushing; do what @kezo says about the videos with vibrating water on speaker.
