I wouldn’t claim from the insurance because it can be held against you and too many claims you can be told they won’t unsure you. We done it with a wing mirror and then someone drove into us and when we went to renew the car they nearly wouldn’t insure us and we had to appeal it. Even though neither was our fault. So I would pay the money for someone to do it and say nothing
