CraigSomeone in the last 24 hours has dented my rear passenger door when opening their car door. It doesn’t look scratched. It’s about the size of 10p.
Is it worth ringing the insurance or try to get it sorted myself. The cars only 2 months old.

Belfast4Get a local dent person to take the dent out for you.

Daniel WaddllI had a massive dent in the rear quarter on my MX5 I thought it would have to be a new rear quarter but the dent Angel came out to my car and it took him two hours and you could not see where the dent had been amazing £85 quid he charged I gave him £100 was unbelievable what he had achieved so would recommend a dent person do your research and get one recommend

FordmaxI too, have paid to have a dent taken out of a previous car, caused by a gate that opened at the exact moment I was reversing onto the drive. It was about the size of a closed fist. I waited until the car was due to go back then had it repaired like Daniel above. You couldn’t tell that there had been a dent it was fixed so well. I appreciate others may recommend claiming on insurance etc but each to their own.

Terry MartinI’m not sure if it’s different now, but I lost out on my good condition bonus because I made an insurance claim. This was about 10 years ago.

Like Fordmax said, it’s up to you if you get it done straight away or if you can live with it for the next 2+ years and get it done before it goes back, personally I always get stuff like that fixed as it bugs the hell out of me every time I see it.

I have to agree I am one of those sad individuals as well, it would drive me crazy.
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.

Belfast4Leave a dent on a 2 month old car, I certainly wouldn’t be leaving any dent on a new car it would annoy me every time I seen it.

ZoeI wouldn’t claim from the insurance because it can be held against you and too many claims you can be told they won’t unsure you. We done it with a wing mirror and then someone drove into us and when we went to renew the car they nearly wouldn’t insure us and we had to appeal it. Even though neither was our fault. So I would pay the money for someone to do it and say nothing

CraigThanks folks I’ll look locally to get it done. Cannot live with knowing it’s there for the next 34 months.
