well some of those are intriging renault 4, new panda, c3 aircross, they would be of interest higher driving position and not too big. prices may be reasonable. i am due to change may 26 so i may have a decent choice at last with a reasonable ap and hybrid drive. i cant get home charging so electric isnt really practical.
but i do need a higher in/out position due to back knee neck issues. have the juke at the moment and the choice at the moment isnt great almost down to just replace it with another juke.
a lot is to do with the slope of the windscreen and height of the roof above the seat. i love the look of the chr but i crack my head on the roof rim getting in and out and if i put my bum in with the seat in the driving position the slope of the windscreen and low roof makes it very uncomfortable getting in and out and i am only 5 foot 8. last time i must have sat in every small/mid sized suv out there and it came down to the countryman, juke and quashqai. the juke won out mainly on price as the countryman had shot up over the 3 years i had one and the qq was a bit too big really just for me although this time its epower may be attrctive.

September 8, 2024 at 12:50 pm #288111I wish Skoda would make an electric Yeti 🙂
Nothing fancy, strip out most of the overly complicated electronics, just a simple BEV to get from A to B without the usual bings and bongs and having to turn off intrusive things like lane assist etc. As someone else said it’s getting like having to do an aeroplane checklist! switching stuff off before taking off or driving away!.
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!

I have 2 years until I need to start looking for something, unless the Enyaq explodes or another idiot in a van decides to use me for target practice!!

It’s the “to be confirmed” after majority of listed cars that gets me. May as well say Ferrari are coming onto scheme because there’s no way of knowing.
September 8, 2024 at 2:15 pm #288120I agree that lists like these are just complete guess work and are based on no inside knowledge whatsoever so, in reality they are pointless. Not even Motability know what will be on the scheme next year! All it does is serve to raise hope amongst those who fancy one of the cars, only for their hopes to be dashed. Thankfully, not one of those cars even remotely appeals to me, so I don’t need to manage my own expectations!

Now thats a great idea
Tbh was surprised at how large a scooter can be hoisted into the back of these
September 11, 2024 at 4:33 pm #288338Lots of SUV type cars yet again, not great for wheelchair users. I know it’s a growing trend with manufacturers selling them but come on.
Also EV I know they have to push the EV’s but again not easy for wheelchair users like myself and would never have one. Hybrid yes but not plug in type. Seems like it’s getting less and less choice of cars that are suitable ridiculously high AP for ones that are
