I ordered the Elroq 85 edition with Maxx pack  almost 2 weeks ago (day it appeared on motability website after a delay) and after the press embargo had been lifted and i had watched 7/8 road test reviews which were  very positive and i believe the Elroq offers great value for the AP being asked. Does not scream EV at you like a lot of current EV’s and i much prefer the styling inside and out to the Kia EV3/ VW ID4 . And nice to see a car ditching the horrible black gloss finish in the cabin. As long as Skoda can keep on top of production this should prove to be a very popular choice on the scheme in 2025 ..be interesting to see if they can maintain the current pricing going into Q1 25. Lead time given as 17 weeks when i ordered.

Thank you very much for your reply

Perhaps i was getting  too obsessed with the green tick confirmation but just as well i looked into it otherwise would have wasted months waiting on a car that was never actually ordered..not the smoothest of starts but will try and verify order number tomorrow. Thanks again.

I was told by Skoda that the order number can only be used by the dealer for tracking etc  which is a disappointment ..i was hoping there was  a website /call centre i could get updates from it but no such luck it seems.

I rang dealer today and it appears car was not ordered on Monday after all..i was told it was now ordered  when i visited and applied. I rang today and this evening dealer provided me with an order number so will try and ring Skoda head office to see if order is valid as on my motability account it still has not confirmed with a green tick that order has been placed  which makes me wonder if there is still an issue.

I ordered a motability car at dealership on Monday but my online Motability account does not show as car ordered ..no green tick..just says application passed…does it take a few days to update? I will phone dealership in morning but concerned now it has not gone through properly.

i got used to it with Groot (24kwh Leaf) Can i ask if you had frozen handles this morning? My wife couldn’t get in.

***apologies*** i quoted wrong post.. i  was trying to reply to JMC’s post

I went to see a Megane 2024 Techno comfort trim with heat pump  at dealers last week.

One of the most disappointing  car experiences as i had high hopes the Megane would be my next car and  i really like the external styling bar the over sized wheels.

I just did not like the cabin at all. Felt very  dark and confined. The Reversing camera was very blurry so the salesman got out and cleaned it but still blury..but the killer was the display  48% battery /81 miles and temp was 7 degrees. Just not the car for me but genuinely a little  shocked by battery. Of course you have to expect lower range but this seemed extreme to me.

Smart and very necessary move by Motability to give realistic EV range for the models on the scheme.

Now we need ALL the dealers to do the same so potential new owners are well informed.

I think the price actually doubled tis Q, was £495 now £995 for the Techno. Have watched a lot of reviews on the new Scenic.. the reviews mention the brakes a lot, same issue as the Megane e-tech i believe..may just have to live with that sharp  feedback. the ride seems to be on the stiff side from reviews. The base Techno spec seems pretty decent and even has BS detection and a very handy profile button to turn off the pings and pongs. A test drive would be in order to see if the brakes issue and seating position (some reviews mention cluster being partially blocked by steering wheel) is to your satisfaction.

Like most Renault EV’s ..battery too small.

Would you be kind enough to break that £403 AP price down as i only see the ultimate PHEV for £2999. I am in n.ireland so the chances of one of the few dealers here matching that are remote but if you don’t ask then you will never know i guess.

The confusion is because @BigDave is quoting the War Pensioners rates. They pay lower APs because they sacrifice a higher level of benefits than those in receipt of PIP (so the overall outlay is the same). The AP for War Pensioners is £1653. The £403 comes from deducting the £750 New Car Payment plus the £500 discount.

Thank you for clearing that up.

Not sure where they are getting that figure of 75 miles from..quite a bit higher than the 100km/62 miles on Skoda website

Which is the best Hyundai Tucson PHEV trim .N Line S or Ultimate? Only difference i can see is some external styling.. both trims same price.

Was the AP only £299 when you originally  ordered? What a bargain.

I enquired on Friday as to lead time on LR Ultimate and was told 10-12 months which is disappointing but not totally surprising. Going to try a different  EV now if possible.
