No they gave me at the lower ap of £1499.
So I’ve been keeping a little secret. 🤫 I received a call extremely late on Thursday evening to say the original order car that had arrived I was allowed to receive. Didn’t say anything apart from when could I collect? So today at showroom opening I was there ready and waiting. Low and behold transaction went smoothly. It is the MY24 as I ordered with the 360 camera. Rear window tints. I paid my ap had an extremely quick demo and left toot sweet. He did state my lower ap order was on its way and they were arriving steadily all motability orders. Wouldn’t elaborate any further as to the whole motability fiasco. I so hope you all receive the same news very soon and can collect yours.

It’s interesting to say the least any motability orders I’ve seen are all onyx black. It’s supposedly my December order that’s in my garage and has been delivered. But as you all say the information is scant if you manage to redeem any.

I had an unexpected phone call yesterday. The very first call I’ve had from the dealership without me making contact to say “I’m trying to sort something out for you in the background with regards to the delivered car, give me some time and I’ll be in touch”.
Am I getting my hopes up, absolutely! do I believe what I’m being told. Not quite as sure, trying to remain positive that we will all have our cars soon.
Lookers Glasgow Hillington, they have excellent private sales reviews however my own experience in dealing with them has not been a great experience.
Update
There is no update. Spoke with motobility who contacted dealership but no change. I won’t be receiving my original order that was supposedly cancelled 😡. I’ll have to wait on my reorder and no timescale or whereabouts. Why even disclose to me that my original order was sitting in their compound…

Yes the exact same order no changes. The dealer stated it’s a different motability order number that’s why they can’t honour it. Absolute nonsense how then did they know it was mine if it was cancelled? I’m willing and agree to pay the extra still no. I particularly want the my 24 as I want the 360 camera. I’m calling motability first thing tomorrow however I don’t hold out much hope for an amicable resolution.

On hearing your fabulous news earlier decided to call my dealer Lookers Glasgow to enquire if he had any update for me. Yes your car is here in the garage. Amazing not quite, “this is your original order, before we cancelled due to the decrease in adp. Ok well I’ll agree to paying the extra £500 difference. No this car has to be returned to Volvo. I’ve pleaded asked for an update on the reordered car there is none!!! Doesn’t even know if it’s built. To say I’m lost for words presently is an understatement.My original order date was 10/12/2delivery date given 16/04/24.
Contacted dealer 9/1/24 re lower adp categorically told they couldn’t honour new adp and would need to place new order. Dealer didn’t actually carry this out until 13/01/24 and delivery date at bottom of order 23/05/24.Dealer contacted on 14/03 with regards to specifically requesting confirmation of a MY24 as was aware of differences between 24/25 models and I wanted the 360 camera.
Had to chase up response, received email on the 26/03 confirming when reordered in January it was still a model year 24.
The ONLY communication I have received is when I call or email the dealer.Last week’s response was “no information on whether it was built, or any delivery information. Still on track for May” but couldn’t categorically guarantee this.
We previously had a year 21 Volvo XC40 inscription Pro ordered at the height of Covid from date of order to delivery date 12 weeks exactly to the day. This car was my son’s motability pip vehicle who sadly passed in August 22.
Contract wasn’t allowed to be transferred to my ADP award, vehicle collected one day after his funeral taking place.I don’t believe for a second we (Motability) are treated anywhere near the same as private sales.
On looking on Volvo UK website last week my model was available as a five week delivery, same colour spec and model year 24. ???Hi Everyone,
I originally placed my order the 1st week in December. When I noticed the AP decrease at the beginning of January I made contact with my dealer who stated a new order would have to be made regardless of the fact I wasn’t changing anything. The new order went through in the second week of January. I have just spoken to him and sadly for me he’s stating he has no visibility of my order. However he did say he’s making contact with his customers who ordered there’s at the beginning of December. I’m based in Scotland.
