Anyone on this forum who can provide legal advise regarding lease and share of freehold? I would be very grateful.
I installed mine in my garage, adjacent to my flat, in Aug. But now got notice to have it removed. It crosses app 1m of communal land in a trench and then clipped across fence. Even buildings insurers are OK with it. But freehold directors are insistent I remove it and are threating legal action. It is share of freehold (9 flats) and some of the directors even breach some lease covenants related to flooring and letting but wont consent to EV charger. Looks like I have to remove and my £350ish for non-standard installation is down the drain.
@footloose, my suggestion is not to install EV charger unless freeholder/RMA agree to it. not worth the hassle.-

PS.
Didn’t intend to type in bold. Perils of typing on phone without reading glasses
I called the customer care on 0800 981 981. It is the number on their website.
Think the AP was £2050 for Ultimate RWD with tech pack. Factoring NVP of 750 and dealer’s free upgrade from premium (worth £1k), it came to £300. They had this only for RWDs and not on AWDs.

PS.
Lee mentioned he is waiting for Hyundai to update their system. Unfortunately it is not something he could do. Atleast that’s what he told. He was positive that I would get MY25 with tech pack for same discounted AP agreed earlier but his guess was we would have to forget the relaxation seats and memory seats that were in MY24 tech pack but not in MY25 tech pack.
will keep posted on this thread. What did you order?

All I need from freeholder is permission to dig roughly 5 meters of trench on communal land. I’m happy to pay for installation and additional insurance costs if any, but their concern doesn’t seem to be on cost.

I told the freeholders that I would bear the all the cost but no luck. I have see a few posts where it was mentioned ohme charged £300-£500 for similar installs. Hope it is within that range.
ah.. didn’t realise, probably because I had only discussed RWD. I live in an urban area and hardly went off road. given range reduction, AWD was pointless to me. RWD I test drove was great and had more than enough power IMHO.
You get a free upgrade to Ultimate from premium and hence £1000 off on ultimate trims.
With Lee’s permission, below are his contact details. He is quite responsive over email, if you can’t get him on phone.

With Motability, you are not stuck with the dealer. You can buy from one and get serviced at a nearby or preferred dealer. My guess is that if you factor initial snag test, it is likely two 3.5 trips, one for booking and another for pick-up. Worth a try for £1000 😉
I spoke Lee Cashmore at their Wokingham branch
Cyber grey with black interior 🙂
My delivery date is 31-Oct and dealer was pretty sure it will be MY25.
@HarryHill99, If you haven’t ordered yet, you can try https://www.edenmotorgroup.com/motability-offers/hyundai-motability/
They have a free upgrade from premium to ultimate, which means you save an extra £1000, instead of 500 above. I had ordered Ultimate RWD with tech pack, and have to pay only £299 on collection.
June 14, 2024 at 11:54 am in reply to: Adaptation enabling autistic DC sit in passenger seat #281865thank you Siavash and Rich. We kept Ioniq 5 in list as the centre console was movable, freeing some legspace for person at centre seat.
At the moment, the hope is DC grows\understands the implications of trying to open doors while driving 😉
Thanks a lot for your reply Kezo!
If you dont mind me asking which dealer it is, I’m thinking of ordering a Hyundai and if this dealer is closer to me (London area), guess I can try my luck.
