Thanks Des, I’ve since had an update today, apart from completely crashing my navigation for several hours I now seem to be able to change the brightness but now with you saying sometimes yours works and sometimes doesn’t makes me wonder if that’s just a coincidence, in the Facebook forum some people are saying that the instrument panels just go blank as well as the reverse camera disappearing, have that to look forward to 😁
Can I ask if anyone knows how to turn the brightness down for the instrument panels, I can alter the brightness for the colour lighting that surrounds the dash but not the actual instrument gauges etc it seems greyed out, another one sorry if it’s been mentioned does anyone’s reverse camera stay on once you have reversed, I have to actually press the x in the corner to get rid of it, oh and one last thing my phone doesn’t charge on the wireless mat, it just gets red hot with no charge going in at all.
Hope you’re all doing well. 😁
Des I feel bad for you but reading your posts does make me chuckle, I’m also in a forum on Facebook called Peugeot E-3008 & Hybrid 3008 UK and I must say there seems to be quite a few of us with problems but you have to be the most unlucky person with one of these cars, you seem to have a new fault each time you log in, with regards to the heated seats, the Citroen EC4 I had before this car was the same, they share many features, parts and the same software as Peugeot bought out Citroen years ago.
when I was talking about the screen, it’s not central, if you look straight ahead don’t you find it’s slightly to the left, I know it’s not a big deal it just bugs me as to why it couldn’t be central right in front of you.
Declan I think you are doing quite well getting near enough 4 m/kwh like I have said I had a Citroen EC4 before this car and that was about as much as you could possibly get from it, in winter it was horrendous but what you have to realise is that even at the worst return on your mi/kWh it’s still massively lower that petrol cost mpg.
Also just a quick one, has anyone noticed that the instrument panel is offset to the left slightly, what could the reason be to not have it central in front of the driver?
Hi Des, thanks for the reply, sounds like you’re having an absolute nightmare, I was peeved at my faults I can’t imagine yours, the problem I’m having with my app is that it says the connect plus has been activated but connect ONE says pending when I try to access the charge/climate or e-Routes it says I need to activate it and takes me to the extend option and asks for payment, the car must be accessing it though as I have the speed camera and traffic info, Peugeot are supposedly getting back to me, I have also had been unable to slide the i-toggle screen across and sometimes when I turn the car on the i-toggle screen takes ages to come on. A new one today was was parking up and edging towards the bollard in front of me and when I took my foot off the brake the car would roll back, there was literally no incline, it was as if it came out of gear, my previous car was the Citroen EC4 which shares some of the parts and software that this has, I must admit I had no problems at all with it. @mickdundee I completely agree with you on the extras, the EC4 I spoke about had blind spot on the mirrors, highway driver assist, video +radar assisted – night-time and cyclist detection, premium stereo with subwoofer it even came with the connection plus for 3 years plus others I forgot, all for a car at £33000 NOT £50000.
I will come back to the forum if Peugeot come back with anything useful, my Step Son works on the parts department at Perrys, I didn’t want ti mither him to be honest but I don’t think I will have a choice 🙄
Hi Des, I picked my E3008 up on Friday, yesterday (Saturday) I had most of the errors that you say you had but all one after the other, gearbox fault, handbrake fault, would not go into drive so did the obvious thing you would with a electric appliance 😁 and turned it on and off a couple of times and it cleared, the screen also flickers intermittently and my toggle screen became unresponsive, this was all on the first day 🤬oh then the car would not respond to lock and unlock when you walk near or away from it and the boot would not open with my foot oh and like yours again the fav’s on the radio all reset, with all these problems obviously I’m going to ring Peugeot on Monday, then last night around 3 in the morning the alarm kept going off, neighbours not happy with that one, I ended up having to leave a key fob in the car and leave it unlocked it’s the only thing I could think of to stop it going off at that time in the morning, could I ask if you sorted any of these problems? Many thanks Des, Paul.
