No problem whatsoever Winston, The Tig forum has a private message facility that we use a lot between us on there.
One for Trev, have you ever considered a private message facility on here?

On order Skoda Enyaq 85X Sportline PlusNo, in fact I think you won’t get the problem. I have successfully connected Car Net and it works great but since my car was built VW have introduced remote locking/unlocking via the Car Net app. I did read that someone with a new R Line Tech has it working. My Tig is capable of having it but I have got to go through the dealership for positive identification from me before it can be added.
You will get 3 years subscription to “Guide & Inform” and “Security & Service” the latter works via an inbuilt eSIM in the cars Infotainment system and “Guide & Inform” you need to connect it via the hotspot on your smartphone or via (what a lot of us have done) a Mobile WiFi dongle with a 3 PAYG SIM that gives 200mb free every month and you should not need anything more than that to run “Guide & Inform” each month. It gets online traffic updates, weather reports, nearest fuel stations and price and also needed to import destinations you send to you Infotainment via a smartphone or the online portal.

I am happy that Roger has come up trumps for you.

Good to hear you conversation with Roger went well earlier today.
He is a top man, what you see is what you get from Roger. Like you say no BS and up front with everything.
I know its a trek for you but at least their dealership is simple to find and it is on the west side of Hull and simple to get to off the A63 (the A road that leads you off the M62 into Hull).

On order Skoda Enyaq 85X Sportline PlusRoger is a great guy to deal with. You’ll get no bulls**t from him as he is up front about everything and he is one that will keep you updated with everything. I moved to Hull just over a year ago and it was the best move as regards a great VW dealer.

On order Skoda Enyaq 85X Sportline PlusHi Chris
I agree 8 months is far too long for a standard production car. As regards people getting a 19 plate, well I would be saying I do not want it till Friday, at least get something out of it and I think it would have to a rotten dealer to register it on a 68 plate. There is also the 4 day wait between registering a car and you collecting it with Motability.
The Touran I ordered is still in the dealer and they are registering it themselves as a demo on Friday. So I might pop down and have a test drive lol.

On order Skoda Enyaq 85X Sportline PlusAnybody that has a VW Touran 1.5TSi SEL sat in a dealer waiting upon a VTN number, well Motability has released the VTN this morning so you can now collect your long awaited 1.5TSi.
Also the 1.0TSi Golf SV’s were in the same boat but they have also been released this morning.
Apparently it was a problem with VW why there has been a long delay.

Hope this helps

On order Skoda Enyaq 85X Sportline PlusAs I have a good rapport with my dealer I have asked the question as regards the lead times on the Touran 1.6TDi DSG and it is 11 weeks. Order now for delivery end of April.
What this looks like is the factory has lost the order and the dealer should be doing everything possible to see what is going on. If no success try emailing the Director of VW UK a Ms Alison Jones alison.jones@volkswagen.co.uk
You will get a reply from their Customer Relations crew at Milton Keynes and get them to take this up.

On order Skoda Enyaq 85X Sportline PlusUnfortunately this is not a Motability issue. As you are aware that there have been many delays over the last year resulting in the WLTP emission changes. I and a few other have had Touran’s on order but the time scales for receiving them were becoming ludicrous.
Your dealer should have kept you up to date with what they knew as the VW dealerships are as much in the dark as you are. I wrote emails to both the Director of VW UK and the Head of VAG and got absolutely nowhere. They ae not interested in individual cases. I had someone from their HQ in Milton Keynes take up my case but she openly admitted to me that I knew more about what was going on with delays that what she did. I ended up taking a Tiguan.
Being where you are in the country I guess you are limited in getting around to other VW dealerships but like Philjb has mentioned you need to ring around the VW dealers and see what is available. The 1.6TDi in the Touran was the first Touran to pass WLTP and they have been coming through to the dealers.
It seems that your dealer cannot get the information you require so it may be a case of looking at other possible suitable vehicles that suit your needs and see if any are available from stock.
As such you have not yet entered in to a contract with Motability until you put your PIN number in to receive your car so that is probably why Motability are not running around and getting you on the road.
Its a difficult one and I wish you every success in what you decide to do.

Its funny as Marshalls are on the other side of the river in Scunthorpe and Grimsby. When I was originally looking last year I went to Marshall’s in Scunthorpe and they would not give anything and could not understand how Marshall’s (South Oxford) could do such an offer. It is total pot luck with a lot of places.

VW ID.3 Tour 77 kWh Pro S 204PS Manganese Grey
On order Skoda Enyaq 85X Sportline PlusThere is a problem with these changes of engines with Motability. Because they are different CC and different BHP they have to be passed by Motability and currently as my dealer has told me that he has a load of 1.0tsi Golf SV’s that cannot be delivered to customers due to this issue. Motability are hoping to have this sorted by the end of this month but the dealer has had these cars sitting there since last Sept/Oct.
As the 1.5TSi in any Touran form I guess this will hold it up further. You need to ask the dealer this question. The AP should not change and should be the same as of ordering.

At the end of the day you will always get problems with all cars. On the other side of your coin I had a Sharan before my Tiguan and it never missed a beat, it was fantastic.
So what it boils down to I guess is gut instinct and which direction you take. Which ever way that may be I wish you many happy miles of carefree motoring.

VW ID.3 Tour 77 kWh Pro S 204PS Manganese Grey
On order Skoda Enyaq 85X Sportline PlusThis so called engine problem I think is more of a DSG issue with it.If it is I think all the VW DSG has an issue of being in the wrong gear at the lower end at times and can be a bit hesitant.
Its a great little car. A little too low for me but its great for what the wife needs.

On order Skoda Enyaq 85X Sportline PlusHi Wonky.
When it came to ordering my next car back in July I ordered a Tiguan. At this time WLTP was causing havoc with Tiguan orders. Also the wife said really we needed a bigger boot. So in August I cancelled the Tiguan and ordered the Touran. The WLTP havoc was even worse with the Touran. I was given an expected delivery date of end of November on the Touran. It sat in the status of “Order with Factory” with no signs of any build date. I pressured VW Head Office with a date and they were saying possibly end of January 2019.
At this time I was also keeping an eye on the Tiguan I ordered as the dealer did not cancel the order. When I tracked the Tiguan it had been built and was in transit and this was early September. So I decided to fall back on the Tiguan and cancel the Touran. The dealer once again kept the Touran on order and it was delivered to them at end of November. I did not cancel the Touran due to the suspected engine problems. The wife has a Golf with the 130 1.5TSi and that is a great engine in that.
