I got my details off my dealer and registered on Ford Etis
Was about to sort of track the car but its not brilliant not like VW and others.
July 28, 2018 at 6:58 pm in reply to: Time between signing for new car and PIN letter from Motability #57294Yup mine took about 2 weeks to arrive too, but if it says accepted on the motability site then your all good, but if your worried about anything or just have a question best to just give them a call they will always help you.
Got my reg number and its being sorted now so I’m picking it up Tuesday as I am away for the weekend woohoo, will be posting pictures when I get it 🙂
Update for everyone waiting for Kuga’s, just off the phone to Motability, have been told that they have the information from Ford and everyone’s cars it will be updated by tomorrow (27 July), a few people I know are picking their Kuga’s up tomorrow aswell so everyone waiting might want to give their dealers a call.
Have fun 🙂
I got the Titanium X which also took 10 weeks to arrive at the dealers, most dealers say 10-12 weeks but like joelfletch I am waiting for my vtn number too, 10 weeks is better than the 11 months I would of had to wait for a Seat.
Just got off the phone with Motability and they said they are still awaiting information from Ford and other manufacturers and its been ongoing since 20 June they are hoping to have the information they need in the next couple of weeks as they were further ahead with Ford than most of the others but have said if it drags on too long they will give the customers the option to cancel or keep waiting, so hopefully it will not be much longer.
My dealer said they were hoping it will be sorted before the end of this month but it could run into August, he’s chasing it as best he can.
My kuga is the new 1.5T EcoBoost 176PS AWD Auto its on the site showing for when you configure the car so hopefully it wont be long till its all sorted, I am hoping its not going to eat too much into August as I am going away and I am struggling to drive my manual and could do with the auto so I can enjoy my holiday.
I am having the exact same problem my Kuga Titanium X is sitting at my dealers but I too am waiting for the vtn number my engine has been changed for the new one because of the emissions so all I can do is pop over there and sit in it and make car noises (lol) until its all sorted out, hope they pull their fingers out soon I cant go much longer with my manual and don’t have anyone who can ferry me around.
I looked at it the other day and everything was the same with the dates for Q3 now I look at it and its all change so I do apologize, I’m just glad now I got my Titanium X order in instead of waiting.
Looks like Ford prices have stayed the same.
Ordered Ford Kuga Titanium X on May 1st, had everything I wanted also got £100 off AP so was happy, good size all around I fit in a with space to spare, light steering options, I tried pretty much all the other manufacturer’s the only other one was the Peugeot 5008 but the AP was double that of the Kuga, I did like the Ford EcoSport but for some reason the seat would not go low enough it was so weird, I did like and would of stuck with the Seat Arona but the delivery date ended up being January 2019.
- Lumbar support in both front seats
- Heated Seats
- Easy Steering
- Automatic
- Easy to get in/out of
- Must be able to fit me 6’7″ comfotably
- Approved by kids (they pick the colour)
- Petrol Engine
- Boot size (no load lip) has to be able to fit a wheelchair.
- Rear parking sensors
There are other little things like a decent dab radio and I like to have a heated windscreen, other extras would include partition sound proof glass between me and the kids but I have never found a vehicle with that in it so I had to take it off the list.
I have ordered the Titanuim X as well, I just spoke to my dealer and been told its been a longer build time because they were waiting for the new engines that are something to do with the new emissions regulations, I have a partial VIN number I don’t know why he didn’t give me the full one the dealership seems to be giving me half codes for things I have asked for and its starting to wear a little thin, I am going to try one last time to get information from the dealer properly if I don’t get anywhere and get half answers I will be contacting motability to complain about the lack of informations and help from the dealer, I have now had enough of dealers fobbing me off.
Thnx Mick and BigBear for the info, I have registered on that site and given my motability dealer a ring so just waiting for him to call me back with my vin 🙂
I wonder if its still drivable.
