Good to hear too. My dealer mentioned the beltline being 400ish so I’d says you found a fair dealer and previously a bad dealer. 1k for that plastic trim, robbing bleeder.

Neither would I but a friend is super handy and says it will be a piece of cake for him to do. So £15 for the tape and 90p for the donut is a winner, haha I might treat him to a.curry too if he does a good job.

I agree Dan, if car is all black then black wheels work better. The red trim and calipers are as flash as I can go for, I’d love the chrome belt line to be black too, such a silly overlooked detail from mini.
I might get mine done with the tape as opposed to the full kits. I think the tape is fiddly but decent and solid once done.
They won’t get stolen Winston, by the time the perp has wasted looking and admiring them someone’s bound to spook them away.

Had runflats on a BMW in 09, back then they had a a bad reputation as being over firm. It was the best drivers car I’ve ever had and even back then, the few % stiffer wasn’t worth mentioning. If you from a car with 155/65/15 to say 205/40/18 then you would feel it but I wouldn’t even factor in versus the way it will drive.

One thing I’m not so keen on is the size of the key, been looking at key covers that replace the round outer casing, look much better with a slimline outer from pictures I’ve seen.

You’re right about tiktok or whatever else they are doing, the amount of people I see on the phone round here is crazy, it’s like driving is 3rd or 4th on their list of things to do whilst driving.

Yes Winston we are alike, I do not post very often but I read a lot, you and a couple others in the past have posted genuinely uplifting comments that work for me, they give me a mini (intended) confidence boost. It’s hard to make the mini a mess whatever spec you go for, I like your combo there and I agree with Kezo, it will not stand out as much as the BRG. The demo JCW where I ordered was almost your combo, it had that multi coloured roof though and does look good, I had second thoughts, I nearly went white with black roof and mirrors as it really did look nice but stuck to my original pick. Great news, I went to a Marshalls and got 500 off the adv payment. I’m glad you mentioned about the Harmon Kardon issue as I would t accept without it so to make sure I’ll let them know now so that they can keep it in the build till its got it. If I get to September I get another 200 gcb on top amking 550, with the 500 off and the 750 new car thing that’s amazing, say what you like about motability, most of it most of the time is brilliant. Anyway, hope it knocks you out when you see yours in the flesh and you have the best 3 years runaround you’ve had so far.
Aww thanks mate! That’s really nice of you to say that and I’m over the moon for you getting the car, the discounts and fingers crossed that extra £200 off. In todays crazy World it all adds up ?? That mini configurator can lead you down a rabbit hole eh? Lol i had Black in mind from Day 1, I’ve had 3 White cars In a row but in the dealership was a Cooper S in that new Nanuq white which is almost identical to the Onyx White I have on my Tiguan and I was sold So sometimes the more time and options you have the more our minds can work overtime going into every possible scenario – as you said I don’t think there is a Bad colour combo on that car , I even think that bright yellow colour looks good ( altho it was never in my thoughts lol ) Dont really have anyone in my life to bounce off on, share my thoughts or concerns on this car so thanks to all who has taken the time to reply ?? i know for a fact your Black JCW will look the berries with the subtle Red trim it comes with It’ll be an emotional day ( what day isn’t ) when I hand over my current car but I’m looking forward to my first drive now ?

Hope you love it and manage to keep as many points off your license as is possible. Happy motoring.On the other hand, BRG is a lovely classic colour and suits the Mini well. It’s subtle rather than standoutish
Hi wigwam, the BRG is surprisingly bright to me and I find the rebel green closer to what I remember being BRG. Both do work though.

Stick with what YOU want Winston, I’m the exact opposite and I guess I’m incredibly shy, I feel like the whole world is looking at ME always and I try to blend in without being seen as much as possible. I’ve ordered the same car, I wanted red, black roof and mirrors but couldn’t pull the trigger, I thought the blue was too loud, I’ve just gone all black as simple as can be.
At the end of the day though it was more about the infotainment system and the fun drive that matter most to me.
Don’t cancel, you will regret it when there’s nothing like this left on the scheme, just go with what you really fancy and stick with it.
