Thank you Kezo for the reply. I did as you said but have been unwell so haven’t done anything about it. It appears to have reverted back to the correct details. I’ve had to look at it and the screenshot numerous times as I thought it was just me, the meds etc. But no, it did change for a few weeks and I have no idea why, very strange.
Hope your feeling better
Thank you

Goldmember.
I would happily have a secondhand car as long as I can get it from a reputable business that offer fair value, well maintained cars.
In fact, the ideal operating model I would like to see from Motability is much longer leases, fully insured, maintained and MOT’d, say an 8 0r even a 10-year lease but with the opportunity to buy the car at lease end at TRADE price.
Also. AP’s!!!!! I mean come on, there is something not quite right about AP’s and there hasn’t been for a very long time. I would love to see the logic in detail of how they get to these figures. If I were being sceptical, I looks like someone’s at it! Just off the top of my head, there was a car on the scheme very recently – Honda Civic in sport trim, an ultra reliable car that hold their money very well. AP was around £1400. It came of the scheme last week and has been replaced by the lower trim version with an AP of 3999, I would love to chat to Motability in detail about how they got to 3999.
Back to second hand – If we used all our 36month budget to get a 2nd hand car covering maintenance and insurance and not be restricted by age of car, I for one would happily give it a go.
Hi all
Not posted for a very long time so hello.
Not intended to panic anyone with everything that’s going on just now but last week I checked my lease contract start and end dates as I knew I was probably eligible to start a new application in June 26. I was correct, early June with a hand back of early Sept 26.
The meds I’m on mean I have some very hazy days and struggle to remember things sometimes. So, I just checked again and was very concerned to see that my details had changed and it now reads that my application window in now early July and hand back early Oct 26. When I click on ‘view your current lease’, the correct start and hand back dates are shown June-Sept so no idea what’s going on there
As we all probably know, the DWP do not play fair and I’m hoping they haven’t been working closer with Motability and have started resorting to dirty tricks already.
Maybe it’s something easily explained and that some on here have encountered and can squash any worries to any of us.
All the best to those that will be leaving the scheme, it’s a no brainer for many and to those that will stay on because it’s a no brainer for them to stay on.
Regards
Hi Winston
I think I’ll probably get mine in September, anything sooner is a bonus.
I passed a silver one and a metallic beige(not sure on the correct name) yesterday and both looked amazing, I think it’s impossible to get the colour wrong on the JCW.
Shocking mate.
Sorry to hear Ben but I can imagine how it’s made you feel.
I would have picked my nearest dealer and escalated this matter to whoever was in charge and I’m sure they would have made sure that their staff treat you correctly.
Exceeding a custo.ers expectations is a dying art, I wish they’d bring it back, its wonderful when it happens.
Nice one Winson.
How’s the seating situation now, I’m guessing you’ve cracked it. How’s the mpg for you and have you broken the Scottish land speed record yet?
That video is quality Winston, very tidy drone work my friend. Car looks amazing, I’m so looking forward to having a sunroof for the first time in 20 years or so.
Sorry to hear about all the hassle you’re having Ben, my next move would be a lengthy email to a mini dealership general manager highlighting what a complete lack of even basic customer service, let alone an attempt by any to go an extra millimetre, to.make sure you they get your business. Clowns all of them. Good luck my friend.
Nice one Top8Dan, it really does make an improvement, especially on dark colours I think where the chrome stands out more. Brilliant.
Would you say its a solid glue fix? Like the expensive all over wrap type solid? Like car wash safe?
?
Nice view there mate, hows the seating situation now.
Last week in July
?that’s not bad.
Looks brilliant Mick, just in time for some nice weather. Enjoy.
Great news Mick, only few days that will pass quick, Monday night will feel like Christmas eve. When did you order, how many weeks has build actually taken?
Yes that’s the same one Winston, looks miles better.
Brilliant news.
Can’t wait for mine mate.
Happy motoring.
Ps. I ordered one of those metal JCW key surrounds from amazon, £16, I won’t be able to fit it obviously but I’ll let you know what quality is like.
???? Well done and great choice Winston.
Haha still busy driving, I reckon he’s probably just blasting across the Italian border.
Fantastic Winston, I bet you’re still racing around in it right now, I would be.
Looking forward to hearing more and more as you get to know it better.
Yeah I’d be looking forward to the follow up so I’m glad you posted it’s good when people are honest and judge it where it sits in the market and not comparing it much more powerful Audi/BMW’s etc cos they always leave you feeling underwhelmed Thanks very much mate, I’ve already started gutting the current car so ? has gotten real ? l’ll soon let the Italian Job know when I collect it ? hopefully you’re not too far behind ??
Brilliant pal, I’m on about 8 weeks delivery as it stands, can’t wait.
Agree about that review being unbiased and making it feel like a real world take on what it’s all about.
I don’t know what to say to be honest as with this world wide chip issue, odd things are happening regarding spec on many brands. Without sounding horrible, I’d question the brand knowledge on almost every sales rep I’ve ever met, so your dealer could well be wrong, is it a risk worth taking, absolutely not if it’s a big deal for the driver. My understanding is that it is included.
The reps at the mini place I’ve ordered from are very courteous and treated me like a normal person and customer ( I know, I know), I’ve emailed my contact to ask the question regarding this issue and will post reply when get it.
Would be a.shame if you liked it but didn’t get ot through misinformation.
Yes, saw that one too where he mentioned a follow would be coming, quite like him, will watch more videos of his.
Made up for you for this week my friend, hope its everything you want it to be.
You Hello Qwe2 and other Mini fans, here’s a nice video that touches on the adaptive cruise control, I think it’s very positive, enjoy.
Sorry David, I re read your post, it doesn’t show detailed dimensions, just capacity.
