Ah AP = advanced payment, got it!
Would be nice if the manufacturers could just give some clear information on their intentions for reintroducing their cars/ specific models. Businesses don’t make ad hoc decisions, these things will be planned months in advance so it’s difficult to understand why Motability themselves don’t have clearer info – even a rough timeframe – that they could share with people in the scheme.
What are APs?
Totally useless to many people if the only cars that many manufacturers will offer are tiny! So silly. They should be all in or all out and just set the upfront payment appropriately.
Would just much have preferred that they had been open about that and said so instead of having dealership websites saying the withdrawal was short term and that they would return later in 2022.
Oh I see. Thank you. In that case it may not even be next year that they return to the scheme, if ever!
Is it excess stock they use for motability then? Sorry, I am just now trying to learn how it all works. So at least then once a car was ordered it would arrive very fast, unlike if a new car is manufactured for you to your specified spec?
Yes that makes sense. Doesn’t help anybody needing the larger models though!
Thank you. How depressing, especially for them to have specifically announced that the withdrawal was temporary and that they would return the models later in the year. Why even say that if they have no intention to do so?
