We’ve been on Octopus Tracker since December 23 for both Gas and Electric, gas has hovered very closely around 4p/kWh – average 4p/kWh.
Electric has averaged out at 16p/kWh. Today’s rates are around 12p/kWh (location dependant) I always put the extra charge in on cheaper days like today.
Tracker changes daily, and you can see tomorrows rates by 11am.
So if I average 4 mile p/kWh – I’m looking at 4p/mile.

Ordered: VW ID4 Match Pro 210kw 77kWh [Blue Dusk] Expected August!ID4 and ID5 is essentially the same car in Estate(SUV)/Coupe(SUV) guise.
Much like the enyaq Estate/coupe.
It’s probably down to whichever you like the look of most. I think the coupe gains 3l of boot space below the parcel shelf, somehow.

Ordered: VW ID4 Match Pro 210kw 77kWh [Blue Dusk] Expected August!Hoping to see lower APs for similar spec’d and sized EV’s – like the Q4, but do have my heart set on the ID4, so I do think it will take something particularly special to change my mind.
I’m hoping the idea that because the ID4 Match Pro trim are already in production, it may turn out to come sooner than the Style Pro would have. But all we can do is wait and see.

Ordered: VW ID4 Match Pro 210kw 77kWh [Blue Dusk] Expected August!I’ve emailed my dealer, I asked if they could move on the AP I’ve agreed on and he said no, as expected, so suggested cancelling my order and re-ordering the Match when it goes live. I won’t miss the 3 zone climate or the Pano roof as much as I’d miss the £700, ha. It does delay the process again slightly but it’s not a deal breaker, for me.
I called to check on mine, as I orderd it the first week of January and hadn’t heard anything yet. Told the guy I spoke to said the order has been accepted, and he said yes but no build date yet. VW have acknowledged the order, though. I thought they’d have done that when I put the order in back then, and it was showing as accepted. I was asking about the powered tailgate, which the match gets, as that would make my life a lot easier. Saving £700 and getting that would be awesome. He wasn’t sure it would be on the Style Pro, and I was getting the impression it was an optional extra. He was off when I called, but I might phone next week and change mine to the Match Pro once it’s on the scheme. Will think about it over the weekend, and take a drive down to see the guy I spoke with when I ordered the car.
I think over 2 months without even getting a build date seems crazy, and I do like the powered tailgate so that’s an added bonus for me.
My only concern is if something spectacular appears when the new deals go live, then I might end up cancelling altogether and looking at something else! Worse problems to have though I suppose

Ordered: VW ID4 Match Pro 210kw 77kWh [Blue Dusk] Expected August!See now this is making me feel like I should cancel my Style Pro order and re-order the Match trim. It’s a huge difference in price – £1499 – down to £799 essentially just losing the Pano Roof, which I can live with.
I was thinking the same! I think you just lose pano roof and tri climate control which i dont have people in back often anyway. But you gain electric boot!
I was going to try and figure out what the gains/losses would be between Style Pro & Match Pro. I’m tempted to do the same, as it’s almost always only 2 in my car, and my wheelchair in the boot. Panoramic roof looks nice, but I’ll probably only do ~5k miles a year lol.

Ordered: VW ID4 Match Pro 210kw 77kWh [Blue Dusk] Expected August!I can’t fault Octopus at all, I got smart meters fitted by them as soon as I got the car, then waited months for the OHME Home Pro to be fitted (due to needing permission from HA) and switched to Octupus Tracker in November, not seen rates above 20p/kWh since.
Just charge it whenever it needs charging and averages out around 16.5p/kWh since we joined.
Costs me less than 4p/mile, and no expensive day rates.

Ordered: VW ID4 Match Pro 210kw 77kWh [Blue Dusk] Expected August!Don’t think my current car should be sold to anyone, thing needs scrapping. Took ownership of it 7 months ago and it’s been back at the dealer for 3 of those months.
Agree 100% here too – I wouldn’t like to be the person to buy this car when I return it, My MG4 has been into 3 different dealers on more than 1 occasion, for the same issues to be fixed, only to be told the problem should now be rectified as they have applied ‘new modules, updates and calibration’ word for word, each time I picked the car back up.
I laughed after the 3rd time of hearing it.
Mine has always had issues with Lane assist and Sudden Automatic Braking, for no apparent reason. The car suffers from severe road anxiety to say the least, no more so than the anxiety it causes me when it tries to drive me into a central reservation fence to avoid a road marking that isn’t there, though.
Can’t wait to get rid of it.

The Born did feel a lot nicer than the MG4 Trophy, was put off by the real world range of both battery sizes though, and the lack of 5th seat in the one I could order at the time.
I’d been looking at the ID4 anyway and think I would have regretted getting anything else. So if I must go the factory route for a better car than the MG4 Trophy, I was happy enough to do it for the ID4, AP wise it makes good sense for me.
Really looking forward to getting my ID4 now, the car suits my needs and feels worlds apart from the MG.

Ordered: VW ID4 Match Pro 210kw 77kWh [Blue Dusk] Expected August! Also backing that up, I almost ordered a stock Cupra Born which would have been with me within days, but was put off by the range and lack of 5th seat in the larger battery car.
Makes no sense (to me) for VW to not allow Motability orders for stock vehicles but the rest of the VW group, do.

Ordered: VW ID4 Match Pro 210kw 77kWh [Blue Dusk] Expected August!Very much could breach the equality act, I contacted Motability customer support to ask if this was standard practice for VW orders, or if it was unfair. Obviously the response was neither confirming nor denying the practice being unfair or against the Equality Act.
Definitely seems like it.

Ordered: VW ID4 Match Pro 210kw 77kWh [Blue Dusk] Expected August!Think there is some confusion among customers and dealers alike regarding the ‘Match’ trim, and how/what you can order.
At this point in time you can order – ID4 210kw 82kWh Life Pro @ £999, or ID4 210kw 82kWh Style Pro @ £1499. The dealer can use a different system to order the Life/style trims for Motability. Likely be changed to the newer Match trim in the next quarter – which is the one you can order as a retail customer.
However, I was told that the car that was in stock in Leeds, which I ordered (unsuccessfully) was in actual fact a 2024 210kw ID4 Life Pro, so there is no difference from the one I could order from factory.
Ended up going the factory order route, for the Style Pro as I like the Pano roof and the rear tints and bodywork additions.

Ordered: VW ID4 Match Pro 210kw 77kWh [Blue Dusk] Expected August!Contacted Parkway VW (Derby) and they told me the same thing, I’m unable to pick out an ID4 from stock – has to be a new factory order.
I’m assuming the only exception to this is when there is a cancelled Motability order that just happens to be available at the time of ordering, I would have thought though this would go down to the ‘next person’ on the list of Motability orders, though.

Can I ask when you ordered?
Looks like both Pulman VW and Lookers VW they aren’t able to order ID’s from stock now for Motability. But may have to broaden my search distance if other dealerships are still able to.

Ordered: VW ID4 Match Pro 210kw 77kWh [Blue Dusk] Expected August! Thanks for the response, was really hoping that wasn’t the case.
The specialist at my specific dealership told me he’s raised a formal query with VW UK to see if there is anything we can do, considering the car is still available to order for factory build and there’s one sat right there waiting.
Really wanted out of the MG4 sooner rather than later

Ordered: VW ID4 Match Pro 210kw 77kWh [Blue Dusk] Expected August! If it’s any consolation, I’ve had some of the same issues with my MG4 Trophy, had many attempts to fix and correct the overzealous LKA and harsh Phantom Braking, finally give up and decided to hand the car back.
If I forget to turn off (which is fiddly, through many menus) Front Collision Assist, and Lane Keeping Assist, the car is likely to give me whiplash inducing phantom braking and it wrestles the steering wheel away from non-existent lane markings. Narrow lanes or country roads, don’t even attempt these with LKA active, it has tried to throw me into oncoming traffic.
Just a forewarning to not ignore overzealous LKA and Phantom Braking, as it is a worrying issue and doesn’t get better on its own. Report it to your dealer and cross your fingers there are some calibrations and updates to be had.

Ordered: VW ID4 Match Pro 210kw 77kWh [Blue Dusk] Expected August!Hi all,
I’m wondering if anyone has recently (successfully) managed to order an ID4 (or any ID) from stock?
I visited a Lookers VW, signed for a Stock ID4 Life Pro and was told the next working day that VW UK have changed the way they allow Motability orders, and they can no longer reserve retail stock for Motability.
Has anyone found this to be the case? Is it set in stone?
Doesn’t seem good if so, I would need to order the exact same car and wait for a build, when there is one sat 90 miles away waiting to be sold.
Thanks
