I’ve looked at different colours and my opinion the black looks best. Not seen many xc40s around here but lots of xc90s and 60s. The 40s I’ve seen have been in anything but black. A pig to keep clean in black.

Agree with worth the wait. There’s other nice cars but Volvo was the best I drove, a bit stiff on rough roads, it’s no Land Rover but coupled with the low advance and very comfortable seats it beat everything else. it is a shame they don’t do the xc90 as that would of been a perfect replacement for my current car.

Agree I’d have XC90 too! If they ever come on MB … well if Volvo ever come back on MB 😂😂😂

When I went to order the xc40 I had a test drive of the xc90 and I would definitely pay the extra ap for one. The added space and height in them is amazing.
It’s a shame Volvo are having the problems they’re having

What happens to everyone’s cancelled Motability Volvos? There must be a lot maybe in transit. Do they become available to someone ringing round? Say a January ordered one arrives at my local dealer or do they become retail and not for Motability customers? 🤔

Just guessing, I think it depends on how far in production – dealer the vehicle is. The cancelled car could be sent as an early delivery to a dealer to add to their stock, put in a car park with the rest until required, sent back to Volvo compound, sent to another dealer to fulfil an order early or given to another customer on Motability with an order of the same spec or offered as a different spec to a customer of retail or Motability to have as an option. The cars are not billed to Motability until it’s delivered and the paperwork is signed as that’s when the contract is signed. So technically they can do whatever they wish with a car until then.

I asked about tints and my dealer said the same. They get a 3rd party to come in and do them and at the same price as you said.

I have asked the question about my May build and MY24 v MY25 today and the reply was that my car was confirmed as MY24 and will arrive as ordered! So I’m confused about the retooling, is that 100% correct? If so then I’m not sure how the MY24 build can happen? Any further info on that please?

I can’t see how that can happen @Ellyr5 because if the information I found a while ago is true then the Ghent factory closed sometime in late March for re-tooling to change production for the MY25 cars that would start in production at the start of May. I was told by dealer back in March my car would definitely be a MY24 as he’d had in writing from HQ. Thing is, as we are seeing the dealers don’t have a clue whether our cars are even built or not never mind whether they are MY24/MY25 versions. 😞

When my dealer rang me last week to say mine will be July, he said it will most likely be a MY25 as he has a mix of both 24 and 25 on the delivery sheets. But more 25s are coming in the next few months. Said not to expect a 24. Shame as I would of loved the 24 with the 360 cam due to neck movement

Went for Onyx Black. Thought the standard colour looked boring? Think they look smarter in black.

This so baffles me! If we order something with certain specs as the MY24 that it seems ok by Volvo to supply something different without any discussion?! With two neck fusions I need a 360 camera but understand it’s not on the My25. I’m at a what where and how now even more than a when! We were supposed to have our car now and yet it’s got a presumed build date of sometime in May. What a shambles.

With you on that. I can barely turn my neck (ankylosing) and apart from comfort, the 360 cam was perfect. Dealer told me they’re getting a mixture of 24’s and 25’s delivered so don’t hold out hope for a MY24 and I will likely get a MY25 in July. MY25 comes with blind spot assist and front and rear cameras still.

Yes! You need to speak with Motability and tell them that you want your skoda to be disabled class and then you can apply disabled class to your private vehicle by filling out the relevant form. If you private car is allready disabled class, you just need to sort it with Motability.

I thought you can only use your exemption on one vehicle at a time, and if you’ve got a Motability hire it goes on that, but if you use it on a private vehicle you’d have to pay full tax for the Motability hire?

                        Yes it does.

as a limited company by very definition it has shares.
Motability has c.9.7M shares in issue although it’s noted as equity in their accounts.

also to note they don’t allow dividends to be paid on shares.

Dealer phoned last Sunday, said he has a list of what’s coming (being allocated in the order they were placed)

Mine will be a July delivery. Ordered 4th Feb. could be earlier but expect July.

I also asked about the MY24, he said he’s getting MY25 delivered in with the 24 and not to expect a MY24.
