Will the new 4th Generation Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV be sold in UK?

I know Mitsubishi are withdrawing from selling cars in the UK when the cars become non-compliant with emission regulations.

But … does that mean that any new models that are compliant with emission levels will be sold?  I am thinking of the new Outlander PHEV (4th generation model).  I would have thought that a PHEV would meet emission regulations and would therefore be sold in the UK?

Any thoughts or updates?  Thank you 🙂

No new model, Mitsubishi/Nissan/Renault are an alliance sharing many component like engine/transmission and some case complete floor plans and powertrains.

The alliance found it was duplicating model in direct competion of its self so like most companies is streamlining is markets. Nissan will be able to service your Mitsubishi.

@Oscarmax – thanks for that, I have also just read that it is very unlikely to be so as the car has not been “homologated” yet – you learn something new everyday 🙂

I am under the impression the the new model will share the same floor pan and transmission as the Nissan sold in the US, I believe the US version uses the 2.5 litre engine only, and the other markets will use the existing 2.4 ICE unit, not sure whether they have increased the battery size, the new floor pan is designed to accommodated a larger battery capacity.

If I was in the position to renew I would go straight for the Dynamic Safety AP £1999, we love our and would consider extending the lease.

@Oscarmax – thanks for the advice, I would indeed go for the Dynamic Safety, I am disappointed that the Exceed Safety is not available.

I am thinking of just extending another 12 months as I am very interested in an all EV vehicle now that they are beginnning to reach the 300 mile range before recharge, I will probably at least sit things out until Q3 price list and see if anything tempts me, my 3 year lease is up September this year so no rush yet.

Thanks for your help and advice again 🙂
