Hello so my I am getting a motability car for the purpose of my mother. We live at different addresses. It’s only me going on as a driver. The car will be parked at my house and her house some nights possibly. Will a tracker be fitted?

@luke2025 How far away do you live from your mother? There is a strong possability the car may be fitted with a tracker.

What are location trackers?
These are one of the ways we make sure our vehicles are being used for the benefit of our customers.

We cover up to three drivers, but whoever is driving the vehicle, you should always use it for the benefit of the disabled customer.

To make sure this happens, we might fit a location tracker.

This could be in situations like:

If the customer permanently lives in a care home and several drivers have access to the vehicle
If none of the drivers live at the customer’s address 
The only data we collect from these trackers is about the vehicle’s location, and we only use this if we think a vehicle might be being misused.

If we decide you need a location tracker, we’ll always speak to you first.
