As thought of by Kezo, a tipple thread lol.

Whisky(scottish malt) is my no 1, although i do like American whisky with the E and rye, bourbon etc too. Brandy is nice, as is sherry and port… Rum too.. Yes I will drink most things bar gin.

One of my keeper shelves below. I’ll drink it when my time comes lol.

I haven’t had a drink in about 7 years now, not for any spiritual or health reasons lol, that’s just about the time I turned into a recluse and stopped socialising ??‍♂️?

but I have a couple of bottles of Whisky here

i have the 3 different coloured bottles of Royal Salute 21 year old, Red, Blue and Green ( same stuff inside ) it no longer comes with the nice matching colour velvet bag but luckily I got mines some years ago and they all do ?

        Got some Glenlivet Nadura

And as I’m a massive Still Game fan a couple of bottles of Jack & Victors finest ?

There was a few big Distilleries here when I was growing up , some have closed down over the years but there’s still a massive Chivas Regal one that bottles all of their range and a smaller independent one ( can’t remember it’s name )

My older brother used to have a fine collection of Malts and rare blends that he acquired with his job over the years and his father in law was a Master Cooper , he lives in Dubai now so I’m certain he drank them all before he left ?

Here’s a couple of pics anyways , anyone like or tried these?

remember my mum breaking her leg near there and was in the local hospital; vale of leven i think.. that would have been in 70’s and it was quite plush at that time.

Ha it certainly ain’t like that now ???

with the usual cut backs it has been in decline for decades now , half of it doesn’t get used and it would cost too much to bring it back to life! ( no medical pun intended )

slowly but surely over the years departments were closed and moved to the another hospital miles away and eventually that included the A&E dept ☹️

haven’t been in it in years and there has been campaign after campaign to keep it open , but sadly it’s been in decline for over 25 years

worth as much as someone pays for them really. most privately owned whisky doesnt do as well as they cost at auction  partly due to added costs. rare ones of course are.

ive a couple of bottles on order myself due to being wealthier than i thought.. thanks rishi lol

My parents thought the Chivis 12 was better than the 13 @struth

Have you tried their take on Japanese whisky, mirazauni blend (escuse spelling)?

not had a chance to try the mizunara as it sells out pretty fast and i usually miss it, but will some day.. i prefer the extra sherried 13 to the 12 personally. chivas bros started as a luxury shop up in aberdeen, where my grandad came from. had a few shops i believe too around the town.

my dad was keen on the chivas and the antiquary too. werent many single malts around in those days tho

Speaking of Japanese whisky I have purchased both Hibiki harmony (suntory distillery) and Yamazki distillery resevere for a previous Chrstmas and birthday present for my parents and they liked them both. The problem is the price of whisky with or without the E is fluctuating more so during current times,

I wouldn’t mind swapping that Royal salute @Winston has for a tub of Lurpack and a thinble full of diesel ?

One of the smallest distilleries but use worm tubs and the dark stuff they produce is superb; slightly rumlike too. a marmite moment for some i believe but i love it. they do a few dearer ones and some that are peated, but this one is my fav. its darker in real life tbh
