Bridgestone Potenza S001 originally, now Conti Sport Contact 6.

Since all weather tyres/winter tyres aren’t mandatory in the UK, there’s no reason for a manufacturer to not fit summer tyres. Sucks, but is what it is.

I don’t think there’s many, if at all manufacturers who fit M/S tyres from factory (unless they offer the option to do so).

Prior: SEAT Ateca Xcellence Lux 1.5 TSI DSG MY19, VW Golf GTE PHEV DSG MY23
        Current: Hyundai Ioniq 6 Ultimate
        Next: we'll see what's available in 2028.

Since 2019 have had Michelin Cross Climates fitted. Would not go back to summer tyres.

Yes, I asked and to my surprise they said yes. Think it was around the time Motability was in some trouble with there image, something to do with shed loads of money in their bank account.

On my wife’s passat it has michelin pilot sport 4 and it handles brilliant in wet or icy conditions. Very hard wearing too. The amount of dealers that slap on new cheap branded tyres to get a used car out the door is shocking. One thing I think is you should never skimp on tyres. The only thing that connects the car to the road
