Hi everyone hope your well just looking for some information on the VW ordering process and time frames etc

It’s the first time we have used motability and also ordering a brand new car so a little unsure on how everything works etc

We ordered a VW Tiguan R-LINE tech on saturday afternoon and managed to get the dealership to match another dealer 200 miles away on the contribution payment of £400 which was a great help 🙂

The salesman stated that as it was a weekend motability was shut so the order would not be complete until today Monday.

I have checked the motability tracker this afternoon and it’s now showing accepted etc and the order will now be completed by the dealer

The salesman promised a call on monday to let us know everything had gone through etc but no call 🙁 we called at 6pm to be told yes all completed etc and a VW order tracking number issued

He still couldn’t give me a rough collection or build date etc just stated sometime in march  and the 31st to be on the safe side

Does anyone know when i will be able to obtain a build date or rough delivery date etc ? the VW app states it takes 72 hours for the order to show etc

As you can probably guess we are quite excited So any help to put my mind at rest would be very grateful thank you

Hi john,

ive not put deposit down for mine or for the extra items.
This is my first motability car so not sure of the ins and outs, others may be more up on the dos and donts regarding deposits

Never been asked to put any sort of deposit down for any Motability car.  I ordered my Tiguan from a garage 100miles away, again no deposit asked for.

Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!

Further update – now stage 7 car is at dealers

Hi guys I wasn’t that that concerned about paying for the build slot I was just a bit taken aback I never had to do it before

From April 2024 Toyota BZ4X now From april 2025 Skoda Enyaq 85 Edition due to BZ4x being written off

I actually only received my txt this morning saying it’s at stage 6 at least things are moving now though I suppose and hope it arrives at the dealership as quick as yours did but I’m not holding my breath ?

None on mine, Ashley told me on Monday it’d been moved to build week 14, online tracker still says 2 “Your order is with the factory”.  Do the dealers have access to a different tracking system?

I had placed a call the dealer for my order number / tracking info this morning, I still had my doubts that they actually put the factory order in, as my motability order date is from the 29th March, but to my surprise the VW app confirmed the order,

The end of June still seems a long way off tho (big sigh)

Indeed, my order was placed with the dealer Feb 27th.  Got an email March 9th saying they had the tracking info, checked and it said sat “2 – With the factory”, yesterday it changed to “3 – Build week confirmed”  So a pretty quick process once it gets going 🙂

I was initially  told build week 18 then moved back to 14, so original delivery was early June but now looking like early May 😀

@ChrisM Good news at last the car has been colllected from the port and being delivered to the dealership tomorrow ? collection next Tuesday
