Just back from visiting dealership to see what’s happening with my order as the application to motability had been changed from 6th Sept to 1st Nov. So rang motability to see what’s going on n was told that dealership had put a new application in with changes to the order. Anyways spoke with dealership face to face and he told me because they have removed the wording Mokka sri nav premium to Mokka sri premium thats why I was getting new date. Was told that it wouldn’t be end of November delivery but now it was end of February to March. He also told me  that manufacturers are prioritising retail customers before they get to lease and motability customers, I said that’s bang out of order n he agreed with me saying it’s not dealerships fault that they are doing this. So it’s gone from a 3 month delivery to nearly 7 months and that’s not guaranteed either. ?

sorry to hear that. sounds like the chip shortage is making them remove features and as usual we are at back of queue.

you could try hyundai as they seem one of the companies who have managed best in this .

This is exactly the same that happened with my order for an Astra SRi ST.

I placed my order first week in August last year (2020) and the delivery date kept going back and back. Motability also told me the dealership had placed a new order and the dealership’s excuse was model updates. The Astra eventually arrived in May this year with what I felt were a large number of ‘downgrades’, even including the omission of parking sensors. When I went to collect the Astra, it was under a cover and I stupidly signed for it before realising there were so many ‘downgrades’.

Getting to the point, after complaining to Motability, they allowed me a free exchange and the Astra went back to Vauxhall and I went to a different manufacturer. I will never go back to the dealership or Vauxhall again.

@struth it’s disgusting how most of us are getting treated with the dealers. They don’t give a fxxk.

@FiestaRed which manufacturer did you end up going and what car did you end up getting?

My main priority was time, simply so I could get the Astra back to Vauxhall.

Most manufacturers were talking at least a six month wait so I took a test drive drive in  a Toyota Corolla Touring Sports. Although I was a bit worried as I’d never driven an automatic before, I took the car out for a test and came back with a smile on my face.

The new car arrived in six weeks and I’ve never regretted one moment. I really like the car and I guess the fuel economy is an added bonus.
