So, after getting a call back about 35mins later I was told to take him to Urgent Care (University Hospital Durham) got there about 12:45am.

Took a urine sample and waited about 45mins to see someone, he said take him to A&E and get bloods checked.  A&E weren’t very busy but about 12 people waiting, 90mins for triage then about 2 hours before getting his bloods taken.  By this time the waiting time to see a doctor had changed from 7 hours to 10 !!!

Eventually after about another 5 – 6 hours they wanted another set of bloods which meant another 2-3 hours wait.  By the time we saw a doctor we’d been there just over 12 hours!  Absolutely disgraceful, my son was doubled over in severe pain all the 12 hours we were in A&E, no pain killers, no doctor just nurses checking his blood pressure every 2 hours like everyone else there.

Doctor examined him and moved us into a side ward, then off for a CT scan, looks like Gall Bladder she said then dissappeared.

Nurse eventually came back and told us he’d be staying in a while 🙁

In A&E several people had discharged themselves and by 8am it had quietened down but still a 9-1/2 hour wait, then in the next hour it rapidly filled up again, it was packed by the time I left.

By the time I got him to the main ward and settled we’d been there over 16 hours!

He’s now on an IV drip with fluids, antibiotics and painkillers but still in a lot of pain.

I went home, got 1hrs sleep, then picked up his mum and went bact to visit tonight.  Asked what was happening and nurse said the consultant is seeing him tomorrow morning, she also mentioned he’s on nil by Mouth after midnight so they may be looking at surgery tomorrow.  Have to phone after 11:30 tomorrow morning to get an update on what the consultant said etc.

Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!

Car was ready about 12, unfortunately today isn’t a good day for walking any sort of distance so no getting the bus there!

My friend is coming after work, about 3pm, so will have it back later this afternoon  🙂

My son is a lot happier, had a good feed yesterday and spent a lot of time with the cat 🙂
Hopefully he’ll get showered while I’m out (so I can’t see him even with 2 doors closed and me promising not to come out of the lving room until he’s back in the front bedroom!) another Autistic quirk!

Still no idea if he’s stopping here for a few days or going home.  We usually do his and my shopping on Tuesday mornings (10% off at Iceland!) but I think I’ll be too knackered to do it later this afternoon.

Feet up and rest watching the box!

Good to hear he’s much happier and hopefully had a shower, whils’t you were out. My daughter has the opposite quirk and simply doesn’t like wearing clothes and wouldn’t care who sees her. We have to force her to wear a nighty at home, which isn’t always, as easy as it sounds lol.

Well he has had a shower, about 11pm!

Clothes, towels etc. all went in for a quick wash at 11:30 and then going in the heatpump tumble dryer for a couple of hours at the vast cost of about 12p all in (thanks Octopus!).  So another late night for me, hopefully I can get him out in the morning and get some shopping done.

Not that I can get an answer but I think he’s staying here until next week, will go home Tuesday after our usual shopping trip I think! 🙂

He’ll go when his ready I guess, after he’s emptied your cupboards 😂

Had heatpump dryer for about 4-5yrs, but for a £550+ top end Bosch serie 8 were not overly happy, as it hasn’t got reverse function for the drum. so bed sheets end up in a big tangled ball and not dry right through! Whether tumble dryer balls will help, I don’t know.

@Kezo, surprise me he has!, offered to take him out for lunch and shopping, he got ready (eventually!) but also packed all his stuff to go home!.  Nolunch, just some very poor shopping, our large Tesco is getting worse, lot’s of things not in stock  🙁

So it’s now 2pm and I’m back home, just me and the cat as usual!.  I do have to go to his tomorrow, he forgot to take his bedding, luckily he has a couple of spare sets at home but he prefers these ones 🙂
