I am not surprised by this. Of course it was going to happen even though many media reports mid 2020 stated that the industry expected a large recovery spike once the original lockdown was over.
I wonder how Motability orders were affected last year.

i dont have year end figures yet, but November monthly sales for motability stayed strong and around the same at near 20,000 although the percentage of sales for new cars for the month nearly doubled.

The slump in sales is more to do with supply issues over the past year rather than demand.

Factories have been closed and when open on reduced capacity, sales showrooms are constantly closing due to covid regulations and lockdown. Etc.
