      my thoughts are

the choice of vehicles is terrible now  the deposits are so high,

you pick a car now because you need one  it used to be all makes and models were  available if be on motability for 40 years so many changes in that time some good and some bad.

i get my new car friday  its a car im not excited   (like how i used to be)   its a car i didnt pick  it cause i liked or wanted it  i got it cause i need a car   it may grew on me  iv never felt like this about getting a new motability car …..

Was at the point of giving up myself until the BMW i4 came on the scheme. Had dismissed the thought of going electric and was wanting a SUV diesel again, to no avail. AV’s are high for any of the higher spec models. Refuse to drive around in a motor I would not buy myself, the i4 is one that I would.

Hope you grow to like your new car and it not too much of a compromise.

Personally I think it’s not bad at all. Admittedly there isn’t the choice there used to be and yes, some of the advanced payments are very high. Ok if you can afford them but personally I think they go against the whole Motability ethos of affordable motoring for those who might otherwise have to go without a car.

On the other side of the coin I think that there are a lot of great cars out there for not a lot of money, indeed 93 for £0 ap. New Megane techno £995, Kia Niro ev £995 etc etc All shapes and sizes to cater for a wide range of needs. If I’m being honest I think most people ( me included) tend to overthink things a little. We tend to  get bogged down with the little things like heads up display, wireless charging, B & O sound systems etc. All lovely things to have but rarely essential.

Personally I think that the scheme offers great value for money especially with a 20k mileage  allowance.

Obviously this is just my personal opinion and my needs are not the same as everyone else’s but it works for us.

Hi, Everyone has a certain standard of needs in regards to cars, that said, I can only assume some people tend to expect Motability to meet aii needs at a price that is within their availability.

Maybe my choice of new car is not acceptable to others but I have gone for the MG HS TROPHY, it has everything I will ever need and is only £750.00 A. P.

I hope everyone finds something that suits you all, Good Luck, Michael

There is too much choice, and that makes decisions hard.

If there were only 6 available….it would be easier.

Its like 900 channels or movies on Sky\Netflix or whatever

and you cant find anything to watch. It was easier when there was BBC and ITV.

6? Far too much choice. Just one is what we need

@BrickTop Personally I would prefer to have a choice and put simply there isn’t the choice there use to be. A healthy choice that I can create a shortlist from based on my needs comfort!

I’m sure most would agree with this!

A little more upmarket would be nice 🙂
