I had a video call from my dealer yesterday. Showed me his screen with my order on it. My car has been stuck at the Portbury docks since 2nd Jan. I might have to wait until 18th Feb for delivery. It is now marked as a priority vehicle, which means it should be at the dealership “soon”.
Getting impatient.

Current: MY24 Renault Austral Iconic FHD.
Ordered 5/2/26: Chery Tiggo 8 'Summit' ICEPrevious Motability cars:
2013 Ford Focus estate auto.
2016 Vauxhal Zafira 1.4T SE Auto.
2019 Ford Kuga Vignale 1.5 auto AWD. (Ext lease) - CreatorTopic

I know cars can be held up for a number of reasons at the ports but for a whole month does seem a bit excessive.
My Mokka has arrived in the UK and the dealer told me on Monday they are expecting it ‘in the next week’. Hope mine doesn’t end up stuck at the port for a month

Can I ask how long it has taken since you placed your order please? The Austral is top of my list to order in March.

Fisherman's Friends, Glastonbury 2024January 26, 2024 at 12:25 pm #256390I originally ordered the Techno trim level (which are often available from stock) on 11th October. I changed the order to the top (Iconic) trim level when it came onto the scheme a couple of weeks later. The Iconic is typically a factory order apparently – there were two showing in the country when I ordered.

Fisherman's Friends, Glastonbury 2024January 26, 2024 at 1:07 pm #256399I spoke to my dealer two weeks ago for an update on my Vauxhall Mokka to be told that the expected delivery date for the car had been moved back two weeks to the middle of February and there wasn’t even a build date showing on the system for it.
Imagine my surprise when I spoke to him again this Monday to be told not only was the car built but had also arrived at the port in the UK. Told me they were expecting it ‘in the next week’
Recieved another call at 17:15 last night to say I can pick it up on Tuesday.
So in just over two weeks its gone from no build date to pick up date. The car manufacturing industry is all over the place at the moment 🙂

I had this a couple of years ago with Vauxhall. Dates going out and not even a build date. Then, out of the blue, my car arrives. Luckily I was awake when I went to collect it, it was a different spec completely. Not the first time this has happened with Vauxhall.

I popped down to the dealers early this morning while they were closed to have a sneaky peek at my car and check over the exterior. Its still got a few bits of the transportation protection on it but overall the exterior currently looks sound and its the correct colour lol.
Obviously couldn’t open the doors and have a good look at the interior but I could at least see it was the Ultimate, has the right seats / trim and is an automatic. Obviously come Tuesday I will be having a much more thorough look over it
