Skoda Kodiaq Ordering issues

      Hi All

      I was just wondering if anyone else is having issues ordering the Skoda Kodiaq ?  I placed an order with the local dealership on October 3rd and had the paperwork through from them to confirm the order details  etc.  I didn’t see this reflected on my  Motability account so I called Motability  today and they tell me they’ve heard nothing from the dealer . I  then chased the dealer and they say there’s a problem on the Skoda portal preventing them from placing orders for  Kodiaqs on the system.  So much for them keeping me informed !  Apparently it’s for both mobility and retail customers.  I’m not sure if it’s just this dealer but I’ve been back on to motability asking them to get involved as it leaves me in a bit of limbo if the car is removed from the scheme in the meantime.

        You are right to be concerned. As far as I know, there is no reason why the dealer can’t input the vehicle on the Motability system prior to ordering it (in fact, logic says they should do this first anyway just in case Motability don’t approve it). That way, you can relax knowing that if the car is removed from the scheme, or the AP increases, you are still able to get it (and at todays AP).

        It is quite common for dealers to ‘sit’ on orders for a month (or two, or three) before they can order it from the manufacturer (due to build slot allocations), yet the Motability system shows the vehicle – which is why so many customers think that their car has been ordered when in reality it hasn’t.

        I would say to the dealer that you would like them to input the car onto the Motability system to protect your position. This isn’t ordering the car, it’s just an admin task, so they can deal with the actual order when the Skoda system is sorted. As it stands, if the car is removed from the scheme tomorrow you won’t be able to get one or if the AP increases you will have to pay the higher price.

            Ok why can’t ppl just tell the truth .. it would be so much easier all around !  after a heated call with  the dealership it turns out they sacked the Motability Sales guy I dealt with  shortly after I placed the order with him , same day I think.  This is the reason the order isn’t on the  system and not  I suspect the issues they are having on the Skoda portal. Anyway the long a short of it seems to be that I need to start from scratch .. although probably with another dealer , depends how it goes from here.

              Jackdaw, good call using another dealer. Just make sure the dealer sacked has not moved there…

              There is something wrong if your order does not show right away on your Motability account.

                  My order was confirmed as being placed with MB but MB does Not show order placed under my status.

                  This I think is either 1 because it’s at the docks or 2 because it’s just not got onto the system.

                  My new car I expect anytime this month, any time from next week.

                  They also said my four days will be from when the car collected from the port so I get it a few days early.

                  Only negative is the guy due of on maternity leave any day now..

                    I just been informed my car will be ready on Monday for Collection.

                    Glad to be able to put the issue of Hyundia behind me. Hyundia has no customer service.

                    The opposite is Skoda have been amazing 👏

                      Monty please let us know you thoughts once you have it .  I’m not sure when I’ll get mine but I would think March/April at the earliest now that the Skoda dealership have put the order on the system  for me . So far they have been really proactive in  sorting out the situation left by the departing motability specialist . Faith restored, for now.
