Placed order for Skoda Kodiaq on 11/01/23…Was told when placing the order for Skoda Kodiaq the lead time would be 25wks only to be told today it’s delayed to mid September!!! My current lease is going back July and I without a vehicle for 2-3 months or longer if anymore delays. They are offering me a lower spec version which I’m not happy about taking! Has anyone been in same situation and what steps you took to come to some sort of compromise with car dealers?

@Steven you can extend your current lease to 5 years. Then when your car arrives Motability will sort it out by ending the current lease, and starting your new lease. Unless you have already extended?. In that case talk to Motability customer service. They will sort it out so don’t worry.

As joss says, you can extend your lease untill your new one arrives. Even if you have had your current car 5yrs it will run till you take delivery of the Kodiaq.

@joss my current lease is not motability, it’s with Renault which is ending in July with no option to extend.

In that case your without a car for the said time, sorry to say. Your Kodiaq could come before or latter than the date given.

Give Motability a ring and ask if there’s anything they can do and speak to the Skoda dealer youve orderd it from. Sadly I don’t hold much hope but, worth a try!

Try phoning round someone might be able to get one quicker, I ordered a few weeks after you and was told October, I have a motability car now so not bothered when it comes in fact I hope it’s delayed and I get a mk2 if that’s possible.
