Skoda Karoq current waiting time

      Hi,

I am not currently on the scheme (although eligible for some time) and thought I would finally sign up as I need a bigger car. I have had my eye on the Skoda Karoq for a while now but from reading posts there seems to be a fairly long wait. Just curious if anyone on here has ordered a Skoda Karoq SE L automatic and how long have you been waiting?

Also, as I understand it the prices are due to change in April; would it be better to order now or wait until April when the advance payment might drop?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks 🙂

        Hi @Paul

IMO if the car that you want is on the scheme now, and you’re happy (or at least ok) with the AP, I’d book a test drive and order it asap. Cars are coming and going from the scheme daily and there’s no guarantee that the car you want will be still on the scheme in April. If the AP should drop in April, most dealers will be happy to amend the paperwork so that you pay  the lower amount, but if not, at least you got the car you wanted.

As above, when I was looking for my current car after my Yeti was written off I looked at the Tiguan which I couldn’t get in time due to Covid delays, the Karoq and the Ateca, the Ateca won hands down.

I’m due to change in April and if I can afford it and it suits I’m looking at a Mazda CX5, Ford Kuga or another Ateca.

I’ve not driven the Mazda and it’s a lot more expensive than the other two.  The Kuga delivery time is unknown as they’re still sorting out the previous problems with the MY22 versions.

I curremtly have the 2020 Ateca Xcellence Lux, it’s got everything I need but the 19″ tyres are pretty hopeless in the wet and useless in snow.  I can’t afford the newer Xperience Lux and it has the same Bridgestone 19″ tyres.   The Xperience trim has 18″ wheels, you lose the the digital speedo/rev counter display, leather heated seats and the remote boot opening but it’s AP is £1249, that’s £1500 cheaper than the Lux trim.

Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!

It’s probably worth a call to your local Skoda Motability salesman

Just ordered a Karoq SEL today, salesman quoted 14-16 weeks for delivery. He said as it’s their best selling car they tend to give it priority on the production line.

Ordered new Motabilty Karoq 1.5 SEL TSI at Skoda dealership in April was told 6 to 9 months. Current semi conductor shortage and wiring components from Ukraine quoted as causing delays. Current Karoq lease runs out end of July so will have to be extended, but no problem as we love it.

Ordered March 2nd. Got a call from my dealer yesterday, car is built and left the factory on 29th May. He reckons 2-3 weeks for it to get here.

                            50 weeks!!

That’s a shame as I was interested in the Sportline 1.5TSI Manual £2195 but you have to add the Winter + pack to get the heated windscreen so an extra £425 compared to the Ateca Xperience Lux with everything for £2245

Dealer called today, our Karoq SEL auto is here and we’re collecting it on Thursday next week. That’ll be 19 weeks exactly, a bit longer than initially quoted but not by much.

Gunny I thought the SEL came with heated seats and steering wheel as standard?

Yes it does but to add heated windscreen you have add “winter pack plus” which also adds heated rear seats

@shariMG Basically, how long is a piece of string. What car have you ordered? usually it could take from 2 to 4 weeks to arrive if from EU. It then has to go in a compound. From there, it has to be transported to you location. (not your home) and from there it then has to go to your dearlership.

You could get better detail form your dealership (possibly)
