Right then. My research is pointing me at the Skoda Kamiq for…well….reasons.

      Those reasons being:

      1) research tells me a good 40in head room in front passenger seat ✅

      2) also tells me 56in hip room in the back ✅

      3) seems fairly fuel efficient ✅

      4) decently low ap for petrol automatic ✅

Only downsides seems to be smallish boot and unconfirmed measurements, but a dealership visit should put them to bed.

So…. anybody know anything about this car? Is it good? Is it atrocious? Do you drive one? Have you driven one or ridden one?

      Drown me in details please!

its a solid car, bit long in the tooth now compared to some been a while since it was updated and its been eclipsed now by the popularity of its electric cousins enyaq etc. i found it a little cramped getting in and out when i looked prefering the countryman and the juke. both were better for entry/exit. i preferred the karoq of the skodas and they do an optional bright orange paint job which almost tempted me but at the time they put the price up and the jukes came down so that where i ended up.

Thanks for the feedback. I’ve heard it’s had a recent facelift, as long as every fits in the thing once they’re in it I’ll be happy

I’d also be inclined to look at both the Ford Kuga £1595 & Renault Australe £1995 and Hyundai Tucson £1395, as they are C segment SUV’s and considerabley roomier than compact crossovers and have good headroom

I was also looking at the kamiq but instead went for the VW T-cross. Main reason being it has adaptive cruise control which I need for motorway driving etc.  I went for the match version which has rear parking camera as standard.  Don’t know about kamiq but the back seat of the t-cross can slide forward to give extra space in the boot.
