Qashqai too? That’s worrying as placed order friday for tekna+.I know the general rule is orders already placed will still be assured, But having recently seen that has not been the case with all ,such as mercedes for example.I guess it’s time to start upping the blood pressure medcine doses.Did read on here bmw were leaving in q4,obviously didn’t so  fingers crossed i guess.

We were just about to order a Leon and in the last couple of days they’ve upped the price by £1250!!

And from tomorrow it seems it won’t even be available. I understand delays but I just can’t see how this is a way to run a ‘charitable’ business. You simply don’t know where you stand when it comes to ordering time.

It would have been a bit of help to many of us had Motability wavered the 3 month ordering rule while the shortages of supplies goes on.

The Skoda Octavia estate is a good replacement for the Leon. It’s probably the same car. We have the 1L  petrol mild hybrid with auto box. Lovely drive and loads of extras. Sat nav, front and rear parking sensors and cruise control.

                  Agreed, great alternative.

But the Octavia prices are eye watering.

A couple of days ago the top spec hybrid Leon estate was £2049. Now £3249.

                  Octavia hybrid estates are £4-5k+

The mild Hybrid is £1795, we got it at £999 last year.

The AP prices have gone silly now, Toyota C-HR Design was £795 at the start of the year it’s £3795 now. My daughter is due renewal next month but I’ve extended the lease until prices settle.

With that, the scheme would drop below 1000 cars. Quite substantially below.

I wonder how long it’s going to take the “big spenders” to finally open their pockets even just a little to make more cars available. With over 2 billion pounds “in reserve for bad days” (by factually/proven overcharging disabled people), i can’t really imagine much worse days.

If they’re still not reacting, well.. We don’t have any other options, really. But i certainly would love to meet one of the brass and give him a piece of my mind or two.

We’re still 5 months off of ordering our new car, and it’s still available (for now) – it’s affecting my ladies mental health now, because she really fell in love with that car. It’s absolutely ridiculous that we “have to” check every day whether or not the car is still available. The scary thing is, the Leon is the sister car to “ours”, so we’re just counting days now until they remove the Golf GTE too, at which point we actually don’t have anything to choose from, we don’t like the Octavia, the Leon is removed, the A3 is removed (and will, if at all, only come back in base spec) etc – sucks. Big time. And the absolute silence of Motability infuriates me. Just sitting there waiting it out with their overpaid staff in the most luxurious office/location, while the people who’re paying for it with their benefits are shaking in their boots wondering whether or not they’ll stay mobile.

It’s ridiculous and genuinely makes me angry.

They sure are but I would expect them to come off because things are not getting any better

Don’t forget it was only a rumour but I’ve checked from a couple of sites and they say the same in that they heard the rumour but nothing set in stone.

Lets just hope its another Facebook fable but you know what they say about smoke and fire.?
