So you return the mobility car two years into its lease and go and buy a second car…….and after say several months you realise you made a mistake and wish you had stayed with your mobility car.

How forthcoming are Motability to let you back onto the scheme ? or are you put on the naughty step for a set period of time ?

Has this question been asked before if it has i appologise.

Not exactly the same issue, but similar…..

When I retired I called Motability to explain that we now only need one car (as my wife can no longer drive) and, as my private car was significantly better than anything available on Motability, could we return the Motability car early. They said yes. I also asked if we wished to rejoin at any time thereafter was that OK. Answer also yes. As it happened I sold my private car as it wasn’t an SUV and my wife finds the higher seating position easier! My sense is you can rejoin but only one way to find out for sure – give them a call.

            Yes you can.

We had a VW transporter WAV but my daughter got volatile travelling in her rubbish WC. So we terminated the lease and got a private car.

Now a year down the line she has a new much better and secure chair that will not physically fit in any car so we are having to go back to motability for a Wav hasn’t been any issues well aside the fact that finding a LWB larger wav is impossible for the next year or so as all order books on vans are closed. so relying on the nearly new market and something hopefully popping up.

End of the day they want you as a customer.
