JonathonWhat are people’s thoughts as to when Motability will reopen for business and Q2 list come live?

I’m not sure Johnathon but I hope they are busy renegotiating the prices as things have changed massively since Q1. We shouldn’t be hoping for anything good to come from this pandemic but the facts of supply and demand still exist and motability have a 200,000 cars per year demand. If I were a manufacturer I would be looking to get some of those numbers in my pocket ASAP.
If Q2 prices can’t be renegotiated I would be keeping my powder dry until Q3.
Just my thoughts.

Anything i post over three lines long please assume it is an article lol.May 10, 2020 at 10:51 am #113074
JonathonThanks for your opinions brydo, when is Q3?
May 10, 2020 at 11:02 am #113075I think that’s a question no one can answer for certain. It’s just a case of sit and wait for now.
I agree with Brydo in that I am not wishing for amazing AP’s because of the pandemic because I’m always wishing for amazing AP’s!
And I too hope that the Motability procurement team are busy beavering away looking for the best deals possible.
This terrible time can’t end fast enough but I’m here, I don’t have it and I’m praying that none of us do. ??
? I will be remembered for nothing but had great fun doing it ?

StavHopefully they are just waiting for the all clear from the government. Hopefully that’s tonight and Jamesg is taken out of furlough.
May 10, 2020 at 12:11 pm #113082Q2 has already been negotiated, it was all set to go live before lock down, I don’t think they will alter it, favouring instead to wait till Q3 (1st July), in the meantime as the motor trade tries to recover we may well see individual One Off deals from the dealerships. Motability wise I see no reason why once Dealerships are back open they should be adversely effected, access to a phone line and computer doesn’t have to be done from a prime location or plush offices, but I won’t get started on that I’m going out to the garden lol.

FootlooseI would hope that as many vehicles may have been cancelled due to the current circumstances and therefore sitting in forecourts that dealers may offer deals to shift existing stock therefore reducing waiting times and make way for a possible surge in business once lockdown is lifted however this may apply as long as those vehicles are available through Motability and we can only hope that some new additions may be added once restrictions are eased ?
