Absolutely love it and can’t find fault no matter how hard I try. End

Honestly, yes I’ve only had it six days and it’s been flawless including the app which I’ve used to preheat the car at times I didn’t need too just to make sure it works. It is so comfortable and is full of tech. The seats are really soft and wide*. The climate settings are so easy to use as they are all in a row of easy to see and use buttons. The screens are great, crisp clear and uncluttered and have a great bonus feature as it’s all Google. At Tesco the other day while the other half was in doing the shop I sat into a nice warm car watching snooker on BBC iPlayer 😄 and another wait I watched prime TV all on the infotainment screen. Hey Google is flawless and has done every command I’ve asked if it. Although I am regretting telling it to make fart noises to amuse the kids, as they are now driving me round the bend with it 🤣

The digital mirror is good, rear visibility is not great, but it ain’t bad, so I use mirror during the day and digital at night as I find it better in the dark, look it’s not night vision but you can see more with it at night. And my god have I missed auto hold and lane keep assistance. I did have a warning light the other morning driving down the motorway were lane keep assistance turned off but ACC continued. A quick Google at my destination on you tube on the infotainment screen as you do when you can lol. Turns out it was a good warning as the camera turned off due to low strong winter sun and a wet road directly in front of me, return journey all worked again perfectly.

So many options for setups and when done the steering wheel and buttons behind it have it all tbh. The sound system is brilliant, I love the 360° sound option. The massage seat is ok, tbh I would prefer if my butt got a bit of a workout and not just lumber 😂.

Comfort. It’s so comfortable, the seats are great and the ride soaks up everything. It is the most comfortable car I’ve had. Bit of wind noise at higher speeds. That is the only real grumble. Tbf the e3008 was abnormally quiet to the point where it blew up and scared the crap out of us 🤬

Space. This car has a severe case of ioniq 5 syndrome. It looks small but the amount of room inside is insane, when you look over your shoulder it just looks massive in the back and it is. OH sat in the back yesterday and said she preferred it. And the centre arm rest is very good for the kids, they love the car and Googles fart noises and jokes. 1st grumble and it’s only because I’m human and we have to grumble. The boot is boxed in, if they made it wider so that they mould the side walls around the wheel arches you would gain about 10-12 inches in width and about 20ltrs volume albeit around the wheel arches. I just think it a trick missed. Yes the boot is very low but has no effect on me. That’s all I could fault and tbh it’s nothing.

Looks. I’m not fussy, the e3008 is stunning the scenic is nice. I didn’t get a choice of colour but I’m happy with the silver/grey colour it came in. Black roof would have been nice. The interior is bright and airy and would be with or without glass roof.

Range. Big sigh, then big memory. As it stands I’m looking at 200 range as it was charged when I picked up. Then I remembered that dealer apologised as it was set to 80% so not a full charge 😄 so I’m looking at 240ish and that is in this bad weather spell. I’ve done 123 miles about 82 on motorway at 72mph and everything on and in temperature from -2 to 7 including 45 motorway miles during the tail end of that storm with heavy rain and strong wind. Currently showing 2.8 miles pkw. So I’m very happy with that. It will only improve. I’m thinking 240 winter and 300 in summer.

I absolutely love this car and couldn’t be happier.

      * You cannot consider this car unless you spend some time in it. There is a gap between the centre console and dashboard. Below the infotainment screen is a phone charger which sits out. It has a very sharp edge which really cuts into your knee. It’s bad, it’s a deal breaker if you can’t do one of two things. If your small you might be sitting forward enough so your leg sits on the side of the charger plate. That may be ok or in my case 5’11 and 15 stone back enough that your knee can sit in the gap. I had to put the seat back a little further than normal to do this and the first few days I was a bit meh. But quickly got used to it then realised the big benefits of it. 1. My legs are a bit straighter which I now find better. 2. Well us men have dangly bits and if you’re in the gap you can mansplian and after a long time in the car I realised that I like it as it’s a lot more comfortable as it is a bit more airy down and around there lol.

But you would need to check. If your leg/knee falls on that sharp corner it’s a no. You wouldn’t stick it.

Edit. Forgot to add. The drive selector stork beside the steering wheel. I did have reservations but now using it I think it’s better placed and easier to use. Mind I have flicked it a few times thinking I was wiping the window screen. And it rolls and rolls. It has three regen settings 3 being the strongest and 0 being off. I’m convinced that where I live and my driving style I can get better range by coasting. The Kona could be switched off but the e3008 couldn’t and I didn’t like that.

Just one difference in the video for scenic. Once you press electric in car settings press programmes and it will be all there.

Sorted guys!(I hope) Programmed the car for 8.25 am ready time and worked perfectly. One slight worry,I accidentally clicked on the preconditioning again when looking on the My Renault app and the car started preconditioning again,I only had the 8.25 time programmed and this occurred at 12pm so does this mean you can click the precon at anytime to activate it immediately? Or is it once you have 1 programme set via the car directly, then the immediate activation is rightly available?

Yes Mike you can manually precondition through the app. I always use this as I’m always leaving at a slightly different times. I just tap it about 15 minutes before I leave. Only once has it not worked and that was yesterday funnily enough as another app update happened over night.

TBF to Renault they are always trying to fix the app as it doesn’t work well for a lot of folk. The thing in common is smart chargers? Particularly ohme? but that seems the same for the enyaq guys as well. My app has always worked and my charger is just a plug and play type. If I need to I just use the car or app for scheduling.

Best to have another App as a back up

The My Renault app and the Kelec app can be used with the Renault Scenic E-Tech

              https://play.google.com/store/search?q=kelec+app&c=apps

Thanks des I just find it a bit odd that the manual use of the My Renault app is not mentioned on the app itself or in the online guides and YouTube videos. Its very handy though so not complaining.

Ele thanks for the tip,I’ve read in places that the Kelec app can cause problems for some people as it may conflict with the My Renault app,so will do more research about it.

                  No conflict here

Thats a new one on me as not ever seen that mentioned

Its been 100% assessable for months unlike the Renault app

                  Hope it helps

I downloaded the kelec app yesterday to see what it was like as most people on the FB page seem to prefer and right enough my Renault app has stopped working. I might just use the kelec one as it has a better setup/interface

                      Heads up ..workaround…

When renault app has logged you out for no reason and logging in again fails

                      Simply press reset password

But stay on app and enter your same password

                      The app will now respond

                      Tried n tested multiple times
