Thinking of getting a van, vivaro, transit type size, avoiding the wet belt type engine, anyone know what year pre wet belts on the above size vans..

Ive read wet belts are failing ruining engines early, expensive rebuild labour charges…

So seems to be a slight confusion to the average person, I found typing in chain driven transit van into €bay brings up lots of results..

        Time to start looking lol

Cant advise on which year to look for, but you’re right to stay away from wet belt engines, Ford Ecoboost don’t have a good rep.

Thanks for the replies, also I’ve been advised there are sites that apparently if you type in the number plate you can discover/learn if it engine is chain or what ever driven engines…

Again many Thanks for your help 👍

Been camping/fishing with my Son, also the Mrs sometimes, can’t do/help out as much as I used to, but really could do with the extra space of a van & on the scheme, well I can’t justify the ap unfortunately..

Talking to some of the seasoned caravaners, the storage is very reasonable on site

What a great community helpful bunch they are…
